Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Friday, 10 July 2015 15:38 (ten years ago)

Spend way too much time here whenever I don't have a steady job.

AdamVania (Adam Bruneau), Friday, 10 July 2015 15:41 (ten years ago)

was tempted to put in the close ilm option for deems but then he couldn't moan there wasn't one and I hate to spoil his fun

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Friday, 10 July 2015 15:42 (ten years ago)

might scan it the odd month if the entire rest of the internet is shit.

xp

irl lol (darraghmac), Friday, 10 July 2015 15:43 (ten years ago)

I don't think ilm should be closed I'd just prefer it to be delinked from ilx proper and moved to idk belize

irl lol (darraghmac), Friday, 10 July 2015 15:43 (ten years ago)

deems you read it when beatles or oasis/britpop threads are bumped

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Friday, 10 July 2015 15:44 (ten years ago)

once a week I guess? *checks which Cat Power albums haven't been polled yet*

rip van wanko, Friday, 10 July 2015 15:44 (ten years ago)

when i voted "several times every day" i was auto-logged out! never happened before! eerie!

reggie (qualmsley), Friday, 10 July 2015 15:46 (ten years ago)

just think CS you could be using this energy to generate the music content you're missing ;-)

This is for my new ringpiece, so please only serious answers (Noodle Vague), Friday, 10 July 2015 15:48 (ten years ago)

sometimes taking a break is good for you. you get that spring in your step, that sparkle in your eye. members of the opposite sex seem to notice you more...

cod latin (dog latin), Friday, 10 July 2015 15:51 (ten years ago)

i have nothing interesting to say about music NV. You should know that.
I just wanted to know how many ILE readers ignored/hated ILM/Music chat

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Friday, 10 July 2015 16:03 (ten years ago)

Not sure why though.

holger sharkey (Tom D.), Friday, 10 July 2015 16:06 (ten years ago)

members of the opposite sex seem to notice you more...

― cod latin (dog latin),

precisely why I don't stp

The burrito of ennui (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 10 July 2015 16:08 (ten years ago)

I dont think ILM will ever be ready for a thread on which sub-genre of doom is best NV :(

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Friday, 10 July 2015 16:09 (ten years ago)

it's not complicated!

1. post about what you want
2. other interested parties join in
3. if nobody joins in then nobody's interested

This is for my new ringpiece, so please only serious answers (Noodle Vague), Friday, 10 July 2015 16:11 (ten years ago)

but what if you know nobody is interested?

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Friday, 10 July 2015 16:27 (ten years ago)

;_;

holger sharkey (Tom D.), Friday, 10 July 2015 16:31 (ten years ago)

Maybe someone will be interesting in 5-10 years.

AdamVania (Adam Bruneau), Friday, 10 July 2015 16:32 (ten years ago)

interested

AdamVania (Adam Bruneau), Friday, 10 July 2015 16:32 (ten years ago)

or both

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Friday, 10 July 2015 19:06 (ten years ago)

You know, no one here is interested in the be Cosmicide record, either.

But if I'm going to talk to myself about music I'd rather do it in places where I can more easily block people who just want to revive pointless ad hominem beef forever.

The Hauntology of Celebrity (Branwell with an N), Friday, 10 July 2015 19:15 (ten years ago)

NV it has been done before
Favourite sub-genre of a sub-genre : Part 1 - DOOM METAL EDITION

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Friday, 10 July 2015 23:35 (ten years ago)

if only there was an automated vote for users signed in who aren't even clicking this thread because it's about ilm.
I think that would win.

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Saturday, 11 July 2015 19:38 (ten years ago)

do we still need to have registered users? random googlers were fun sometimes

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Saturday, 11 July 2015 19:39 (ten years ago)

for those who dont read ILM there was a facebook group set up for ilxors to post about music they are listening to. https://www.facebook.com/groups/ilxorsnowplaying/

Its a fun group.

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Saturday, 11 July 2015 23:19 (ten years ago)

Thread has the potential to be a bit like those ILM vs ILE discussion ppl had back in the day

#nostalgiaIsAThing

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 11 July 2015 23:24 (ten years ago)

Ah so the truth is out, these two threads are some sort of recruitment device for some crappy Facebook page for decrepit ex-ILXors, right?

holger sharkey (Tom D.), Saturday, 11 July 2015 23:53 (ten years ago)

these two threads exist because the op is a busybody the likes of which i've never seen

call all destroyer, Sunday, 12 July 2015 00:20 (ten years ago)

Who is continually posting links to a Facebook group nobody wants to join.

holger sharkey (Tom D.), Sunday, 12 July 2015 00:32 (ten years ago)

lol 'busybody'

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Sunday, 12 July 2015 00:42 (ten years ago)

yes. it is the perfect description of you.

call all destroyer, Sunday, 12 July 2015 01:10 (ten years ago)

how so? You don't even know me.

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Sunday, 12 July 2015 01:20 (ten years ago)

you are perpetually concerned with the habits and behaviors of others.

we're just talking about the dictionary now, this isn't that fucking hard.

call all destroyer, Sunday, 12 July 2015 05:26 (ten years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

System, Thursday, 16 July 2015 00:01 (ten years ago)

I only post on ILM by accident thinking it's actually a ILE thread.

Jeff, Thursday, 16 July 2015 00:56 (ten years ago)

I dont have it on SNA. I read it v occasionally if bored, but never find anything worth reading/posting on. I'm not interested in endless trainspottery of polls, nominations and lists of things.

I checked Snoops , and it is for real (Trayce), Thursday, 16 July 2015 01:33 (ten years ago)

Under the best circumstances, the ballot polls (and other polls, to a degree) actually generate a lot of really good conversation. The results are just a bonus, imo.

Johnny Fever, Thursday, 16 July 2015 01:37 (ten years ago)

I would agree with that. It's a shame if it puts people off from having ILM on SNA but oh well.

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Thursday, 16 July 2015 13:40 (ten years ago)

Haven't posted since I helped Kenickie to win the worst Britpop band poll

DG, Thursday, 16 July 2015 13:43 (ten years ago)

DG!

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Thursday, 16 July 2015 13:47 (ten years ago)

I usually vote in the polls.

the guy that has to shut up now (Zachary Taylor), Friday, 17 July 2015 03:12 (ten years ago)

I've *started* one or 2, lest anyone think I'm a hypocrite but I think all those endless rolling threads to decide whats even going into a poll? All this pre-nomination noominations ... its like people who spend 4 hours deciding the stats on their D&D character before they even start playing.

(lol sorry JF)

I checked Snoops , and it is for real (Trayce), Friday, 17 July 2015 03:44 (ten years ago)

feels like it's gotten a bit busier since these threads got posted.

(no offence to people) (dog latin), Friday, 17 July 2015 13:15 (ten years ago)

seems the same to me.

trayce - theres only one of those on a go each time though, the rest of ILM goes on as normal. It just sounds to me that you have a general downer on ilm after a decade + on ilx?

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Friday, 17 July 2015 14:39 (ten years ago)

i read ilm every day, i post anywhere from not at all to lots depending on my mood, what topics are active, and how much downtime i have in whatever else i'm doing that day
