'Not cool': J Hus caused outrage with an Instagram post of himself posing in his hospital bed J Hus/Instagram

A young London rapper has been criticised by anti-knife crime campaigners for making gang signs from his hospital bed while he was being treated for stab wounds.

Artist J Hus has been slammed by activists who said "getting stabbed is not cool" and urged "influential people" not to use their platforms for negative messages.

is there any recorded instance of an authority figure admitting to an audience of the young and/or stupid that something dangerous might indeed be quite cool, though there might perhaps be other, countervailing reasons for not doing dangerous things
