tonight I learned that caul-born people refer to themselves as 'caul bearers' and they are extremely intense:

It's not easy being a caul bearer. Painful images and messages hover, pester and persist. It's been happening since you were a small child and sometimes you feel like you will lose your mind. If you share what you see, people think you're weird, crazy or possessed by the devil. So you hold it all inside.

Then...you discover alcohol elixirs and drugs to swallow or smoke. For a while you finally escape from the fear and chaos. But the voices and visions always come back and the dark pain becomes worse. The downward spiral has begun and you want something better....and there is something better...you just need to tap into it....

This is a list of the most common traits or gifts among caul bearers. Some may possess all of these traits, others a combination of particular traits. I have gathered these traits from both caul bearers I have interviewed and from other sources.

~A catalyst for any number of things such as change or connecting other Caul Bearers with each other

~Prophetic or precognitive dreams and visions - often frightening

~Possess telepathic abilities

~Psychic or clairvoyant type abilities
