Like which two would be in a cute covert relationship?

Asking bcz an old friend of mine from HS is getting married. A big part of our friendship was pretending we knew wtf we were talking about when it came to early U.S. history, most of which was based on watching 1776 too many times.

We performed this together for drama competition, I was Lee and she was Big Benny:

She got her kid a stuffed toy Constitution to put in his crib when he was born.

I want ti draw her a pic of two founding fathers getting married as part of her wedding gift.

Obvi answer is Adams & Jefferson, tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme etc

Somewhere there's an old, dusty kid in a horehound candy store over this question.

Yeah sorry i got excited & forgot to give u background

TJ and Adams became friend at continental congress but serving together under Washington brought out bad vibes, they had huge rift & broke up for a long time, didnt speak for a long time...but they couldnt stay mad at each other for good & writing to each other for years, died within HOURS of each other on the same DAY (ie the fourth of july it is tooo real) the whole thing is a YA novel waiting to happen

they are my favorite power couple

and by all accounts Adams really did croak "Thomas Jefferson lives" before expiring (Jefferson had died hours earlier).

Thte Adams-Jefferson correspondence is beautiful: two old, extraordinarily erudite dudes impressing each other with books they read or are reading, Adams insisting on explaining his vision of the Republic to a polite but indifferent Jefferson.

Yeah. The letters really are beautiful.

For obvious reasons I loved that 1776 "Lee" song when I was a kid. God leans a little on the side of the Lees!
