I mean, I was finishing off these really bad, store-bought jalapeno poppers, and dipping them in marinara sauce. And, then, I finished them... I had some extra sauce left, and then... one thing led to another...

I'm such a 'fiend' for marinara sauce. I always ask for an extra cup or two, on the side, when I order pizza.
But, this. This is just unchartered territory. I don't know whether to be glad or sad, happy or unhappy, satisfied or disgusted, fulfilled or lacking.
― monster mash, Sunday, 1 November 2015 18:46 (nine years ago)
At least it was Prego, and not Ragu.Forgive me.
Anyway, it was traditional marinara by Prego, not anything worse, like meat sauce. (I've been veggie for 12 years), (I actually forget to eat, sometimes).
I just really, really needed this. Please try to understand.

Taking fucking sides: people who dip their pizza in extra marinara sauce vs. people who dip their pizza in ranch?
To the latter I say: Off with their heads, off with their heads. Disgusting.
― monster mash, Sunday, 1 November 2015 19:18 (nine years ago)
taking sides, I see what you did there
― Tell The BTLs to Fuck Off (wins), Sunday, 1 November 2015 19:19 (nine years ago)
are we to understand that the people who dip their pizza in ranch are missing the drinking-eight-ounces-of-ranch experience and for this we judge them harshly

pizza was invented to be enveloped fully in garlic butter, which i would and frequently do drink 8oz at a time
― qualx, Sunday, 1 November 2015 19:45 (nine years ago)
i don't really understand dipping it in marinara sauce, that's like dipping it in cheese sauce or pizza dough sauce
i want more marinara sauce already!

If u think abt it, marinara sauce is just a tomato smoothie, so you're in the clear, bud
― Rich Homie Quan Poor Homie Quan (m bison), Sunday, 1 November 2015 20:22 (nine years ago)
repeat the experiment w/ only a food-based dipping delivery system
if you can still comfortably polish off that same amount of sauce, then you're in the clear—by science
it's all going to the same place, what does it matter whether you were masticating at the time of ingestion

Marinara sauce is probably really great for you, excepting the salt content. Cooked tomatos with enough oil for lycopene bioavailability, probably would work well for sunburn prevention. The garlic and basil have good things going for them as well.
But really, try some whole grain pasta, next time. Low glycemic index, and a little arabinoxylan does the gut microbiota a world of good.

Marinara sauce here (and in plenty of other places) means tomato and seafood sauce, so this thread is grossing me out.
