Aside from Ortis and Kate Heavenor, obviously. But more or less all the rest of it can burrrrrn.

Mr Swygart (mrswygart), Saturday, 19 October 2002 16:37 (twenty-three years ago)

I liked the recent explosion of Anime (Pokemon, Card Captors et al) alot. I suggest you try and check out Yoho Ahoy if you can, it's utterly CLAZZIC. (BBC 2, weekdays at around lunchtime {before working lunch [haha student stereotype alert]})

Who's the 'New Andi Peters' guy? Leeezam Moazambique or summat, he's good.

SeanF, Saturday, 19 October 2002 16:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Lizo Mzimba? His incredible unstoppable jerking neck puts me off a smidge...

But you're right about Yoho Ahoy. Two words, so simple, but it does work really well... why do the pre-schoolers get all the good stuff?

>S: Tiny Planets

8)

have a tivo season pass set up for Tiny Planets as of last week after seeing an episode on a pub tv one afternoon. great little cgi shorts, the kind of thing pixar used to do before toy story. very geometric backgrounds to the planets as well - one's a moebuis strip covered in graph paper with spheres and cubes scattered around.

that theme tune sticks in your head though. could be amelia fletcher singing (but isn't. kim goodie gets a music credit. is this the same one who was on No 73 on saturday mornings all those years ago?)

sabrina is grebt

how the hell is malcolm in the middle "children's television": it airs at 9.00!!

mark s (mark s), Monday, 21 October 2002 09:23 (twenty-three years ago)

yoho ahoy is great, but difficult to find in the schedules. that animal hospital one (is that Hilltop Hospital) is a bit dull at times, but has a very grown up cast of voices (Kevin Whately, Celia Imrie??, etc)

Alan (Alan), Monday, 21 October 2002 09:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Could someone describe what Yu-Gi-Oh! is like to me?

Sarah (starry), Monday, 21 October 2002 10:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Sooty.

jel -- (jel), Monday, 21 October 2002 10:05 (twenty-three years ago)

that wasn't an answer to Sarah's question btw!

I like that Seiko:exciting show on the Sci-fi Channel.

jel -- (jel), Monday, 21 October 2002 10:08 (twenty-three years ago)

THE TWEENIES MUST BE STOPPED.

Anna (Anna), Monday, 21 October 2002 10:10 (twenty-three years ago)

yu-gi-oh has been around for ages, but is suddenly huge. how so?

in other news, i saw an ep of spongebob where he dried out and turned into a regular sponge, but it wasn't drawn, the shot of him dried out was a photo/still of a an actual bath sponge square thing. well that's what it looked like to me. v odd.

Alan (Alan), Monday, 21 October 2002 11:10 (twenty-three years ago)

In what alternate universe is The Family Guy a kid's show???

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 21 October 2002 11:24 (twenty-three years ago)

or indeed a grown-up's show?

mark s (mark s), Monday, 21 October 2002 11:28 (twenty-three years ago)

I AGREE WITH ANNA

Can someone name the show about a red knitted cat who is easily confused? Every episode he tries something new and grown up, gets and wrong, and learns a valuable moral lesson. And everyone's happy. That show rocks.

Graham (graham), Monday, 21 October 2002 11:31 (twenty-three years ago)

Nothing has yet replaced the genius of Rule The School.

I think the BBC's new Saturday morning presenter - Fern somethingorother - is really very good, like *tons* better than Cat Deely.

Sabrina < Clarissa.

Tim (Tim), Monday, 21 October 2002 11:31 (twenty-three years ago)

stop sucking up to terry eagleton, hopkins

mark s (mark s), Monday, 21 October 2002 11:34 (twenty-three years ago)
