Help me find a film, please!

Years ago I channel hopped into a film.

I think I missed the start and only saw the end and I just want to know what the film was.

So, by the end, this man and his family are in the wilds - somewhere in rural mountainous America - being chased by a gang. Maybe they've found their money. Maybe they saw them do something. I can't remember. They run over this footbridge, which they then destroy (or its destroyed by the baddies, I forget).

I've been through lists of 'outback adverture' type films and I can't find one whose plot fits what memories I have.

Please help, Hive Mind....

Rope bridge thing is an extremely stock scene but sounds a bit like the river wild?

I've had a look - it might be that. I can't find a clip of the bridge bit, since it's the bit I think I'll remember best.
