Jesus is not still on the cross. He died and rose again on the third day.

The cross is EMPTY. Use of a symbol depicting Jesus still on the cross is significant, it reveals false doctrine.

The obsessive dedication shown in that listing is frightening. I love that Satan has not just one or two symbols, but at least half a dozen, many of which are common geometric shapes like hexagrams. (Good Lord! I just realized that honeycombs are paeans to Satan!)

One thing I've always wondered about these theories on Satanic images, do they think there's some actual conspiracy behind them? Like, do they think CBS, Google, Delta, Shell, etc are putting these symbols in their logos with the full knowledge of their meaning and with the intent to spread Satan's message, or are they only suggesting these corporations are carelessly disseminating "Satanic" images without really knowing their "history"? Because if it's the former, it would imply there's a ridiculously massive Satanist conspiracy that also includes people like Buddhists, who don't even believe in Satan. But I guess it's not beyond fringe Christians and their persecution complex to think 95% of the world is on Satan's side...

I was hoping that after "The Shell symbol if inverted resembles the Vatican(!) which contains an octagonal symbol which is similar to a Buddhist symbol which resembles the Dharma Initiative logo which has a snake in it and so is EVIL", the next section on the inverted pentagram would be "Actually we're cool with this".

I was raised in a Methodist church and our crosses never had Christ on them. Methodist crosses have a flame symbolizing the holy spirit.

That's a, uh, bold image. Does it predate current associations with crosses and fire? Also are Methodist crosses actually have a flame? Like, do they go through a lot of them, or do they have something more figurative, like a wind machine and length of red-lit silk?

It does not predate those associations - it was adopted in 1968. Would love to read a history about the workshopping of that logo though. The church I attended was very integrated and social justice-oriented.

I'd expect Anglicans to choose cross or crucifix depending on whether they're low or high, but I don't have much experience with their services.

That's the symbol of the main American Methodist church, not of Methodism as a whole.
