Admittedly, Batman v Superman is iffy--but it is Zach Snyder's follow-up to Man of Steel. I voted for it simply on the grounds that it is going to be the most difficult to avoid.

pitchforkian at best (cryptosicko), Saturday, 20 February 2016 14:35 (nine years ago)

Oh hey, Crouching Tiger comes out next week. I am interested in that one.

I'm voting for Alice since it's probably not only bad but also a travesty.

jmm, Saturday, 20 February 2016 14:51 (nine years ago)

Could not make it through that list but if the Alice is Burton then fuck burton

I'm voting Purge: Election Year. it will in no way be the worst movie, objectively speaking, but their attempts at 'politics' in the 2nd film were browbeating and cringeworthy and it appears they're going to double down on that in the third one.

The first purge was shockingly bad and annoying

Batman vs Supes is basically gonna be "Metropolis and Gotham are razed to the ground, most everyone is dead, but glad the two superheroes 'worked out their issues. oh hey here's Wonder Woman.'".

I have hopes for Amityville. Jennifer Jason Leigh!

There are a lot of unfortunate sequels to unfortunate movies on that list, but the first one feels like the biggest travesty.

Damn, for just a second thought that was going to be a Monster House sequel.

the Alice trailer made it look like a 'gritty' take on Alice bleh

I have a guilty fondness for CGI kids' movies so I always end up watching each new Ice Age movie despite not especially liking any of them, and the last one was so goddamn lazy and horrible I almost gouged my eyes out. of course I shouldn't have expected any more BUT

*deep breath*

so I'm prob going to vote for the new one even against Star Trek: Even More Lens Flare, and the puzzlingly belated existence of Kindergarten Cop 2 and Bridget Jones: TNG, and who let Burton/Depp near the other Alice, makes my brain itchy just thinking about it, and...

You'd have thought God's Not Dead would have been a definitive statement unto itself. The fact that they needed a sequel casts some doubt on the veracity of their argument. God's Not Dead 2: No, Seriously, Just Hear Us Out

Sacha Baron Cohen as Time,[1] a half-clock, half-human who has the ability to travel back and forth through different time periods with a special skill secreted in a gold-colored chromosphere.[2] Producer Suzanne Todd says, "In terms of his behavior, he’s definitely the kookiest of all."[2]
Rhys Ifans as Zanik Hightopp, the Mad Hatter's father[1]

The original Kindergarten Cop was like a dreadful heap of flyblown animal entrails. I can't imagine what depths the sequel will sink to.

Does anyone know if Tim Burton sustained an actual head injury at some point or has it been more of a slow, degenerative condition?

maybe my clam is just more toxic (Old Lunch), Saturday, 20 February 2016 20:15 (nine years ago)

This looks like it's a standalone sequel. Hopefully it will fill in what's happened in the Kindergarten Cop universe in the intervening 25 years.

Iron Sky: The Coming Race

never taken part in one but i've heard things

qualx, Saturday, 20 February 2016 22:14 (nine years ago)

I'd really like to see a behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of something like Kindergarten Cop 2, because I have to wonder what the mood on the set was (among anyone who isn't 6). Like, I wanna know what it was like for people whose dream it was to one day work in the movies to have to get up every morning and go to work on a straight-to-video sequel to a nearly three-decade-old film that nobody liked in the first place and starring an off-brand version of the original star. That's gotta be at least as fascinating and disturbing as Hearts of Darkness.

pitchforkian at best (cryptosicko), Saturday, 20 February 2016 23:26 (nine years ago)

I love the phrase "all-new movie".

jmm, Sunday, 21 February 2016 01:39 (nine years ago)

Burton isn't directing this time, just producing, not that makes me want to watch another Alice movie in his style

Vinnie, Sunday, 21 February 2016 02:34 (nine years ago)

anticipating/dreading bad santa 2

johnny crunch, Sunday, 21 February 2016 02:45 (nine years ago)

I shut off the first Alice as soon as it became apparent (as it should have from the trailers) that it was just going to be another assortment of Depp's infuriatingly arrogant quirks.

Eh, I feel pretty safe in the prediction that all Burton's films from here on will be worse than all Gilliam's films from here on.

Kindergarten Cop 2 (with Dolph Lundgren replacing Arnold)

this is going to be a masterpiece and i will hear no other opinion

HYPERLINK TO RAP GENIUS (BradNelson), Monday, 29 February 2016 10:18 (nine years ago)

It's not on there, but judging by the trailer, 'London Has Fallen', the follow up to 'Olympus has Fallen' looks like the worst film ever made.

draxx them sklounst (dog latin), Monday, 29 February 2016 13:01 (nine years ago)

It has Morgan Freeman sitting in a leather chair, impassively staring down the camera. It has many large explosions of orange flame. What more could you ask?
