I love mushrooms, but I hated the one mushroom pate I tried from cost plus. This looks a bit like mushroom pate.

a sauce made out of mushrooms = potentially delicious in certain applications.

calling it ketchup and so making you associated it with what ketchup is - a sugary and vinegary tomato based thing - and what it goes on - fries and such - makes it seem gross.
