What causes them? Are my fingers typing faster than my brain, or my brain working faster than my fingers? I'm always at a desktop, never on a phone, so I can't use that excuse. My ILX posts are littered with them.

I'll happily blame any of my own typos upon my fundamental inability to do any fewer than two things simultaneously (see: putting in a full day's work during my peak posting hours). I generally assume the same is true of most other people here so no judgment, brother.

Doing a search in our system for 'Virginia Peninsula' using partial strings and it came out 'vergin peins'. This is why coffee before work.
