one thing the mac gmail client is good for is cleaning the whole thing and marking everything as read. since i've done that i now click mark all as read about 30 times a day and it keeps me at 0.

also started making certain emails appear as automatically read - quite useful.
An inbox where all the emails are read isn't necessarily an empty inbox though ? Could still be a lot of hoarding there?
