Why would you watch it? Couldn't you tell it wasn't going to be great beforehand?Does watching bad films act as a palate cleanser or help give perspective?
Are people still going to his films in large numbers? I guess low com denom sells. Dan Brown and 50 Shades are both popular. &don't need to point out what's happening today. Oh my.

well, I felt like going to a movie, the impending inauguration made me wanting to see something horrific, and this actually got good reviews for the first time in years, so I figured I'd at least check it out.

Interesting in that he still seems egomaniacal and self-obsessed, but there's some good nuts and bolts stuff in it, too. He's almost like the director equivalent of a character actor who used to be a lead.
