Thrills! Spills! Bugs! Try it out and let me know if you have any issues. Requires entering your password, there just isn't a way around it. I don't do anything evil with it though.

If anyone can come up with a better icon - and really, anyone could come up with a better icon - let me know.

Needs a way to change background color, though.

I haven't seen the issue with the boards. What phone / Android version?

I'll look into those other requests. The background color thing shouldn't be tough. Might do.something about the typeface as well although Android doesn't make it easy.

S7 Edge, Android 6.0.1. It doesn't seem to save the chosen boards correctly, keeps a few but adds a random bunch more.

Yeah I have something similar with the boards. In my case I only have ILM and ILE saved but I'm seeing a bunch of threads from other boards under New Answers. Also S7 Edge, Android 6.0.1.

Interesting. That shouldn't be ... will check out.

There are a few other known issues: sometimes will crash after coming back from a long sleep, and sometimes will get into a broken state when it fails to reach the server. Killing and restarting the app fixes.

Yeah posting was one of the last things to get added - I noticed today that for some reason Flagging can't post comments to the I Hate Apple thread. I'll look into but sorry if anyone loses deathless prose in the meantime :/

I'm having trouble reproducing the phantom post thing, although I've seen it myself. Details helpful as mentioned above. I'll keep fiddling with it.

Kind of a small annoyance but if I scroll halfway down the list of threads, open one, read it and then hit the Back button on my phone to return to the list, I'm returned to the top of the list rather than the point where I left off. If that could be fixed then great, if not no biggie.

Is there a minimum Android version for this? Doesn't seem to work properly on my phone, for instance "I only have ILM and ILE saved but I'm seeing a bunch of threads from other boards under New Answers" - there's no obvious way to select which boards appear on New Answers, they're all there. I think I'm on 4.4.

same on Android 7.1.2 , I can select and deselect boards with individual sliders and it remembers my choices but there's no effect on the post list (oh hey, I'm on 77? I don't remember if I knew that)

and I can reply to some posts but not others.

The board issue will be a quick fix. Still hoping to find a way to reproduce the posting issue.

Some people report this with Zing too; this might not be Flagging-specific. If you can figure out lukas I'd love to know

Are there maybe different server/instance values I should use?

Fixed a silly problem with posting replies to threads, guessing this is the bug people are seeing. Also fixed seeing threads from disabled boards. Won't be able to push this update until tonight tho.

It's not screamingly likely unless we find an Android developer willing to deal with the code I wrote.

I put my (2 year old, android 11) phone in dark mode and Flagging works just fine like that

the 2022 sight & sound ballot thread seems to instantly crash flagging when opened

Often I find that trying to post anything, in any thread, on my phone (Android) immediately crashes/freezes the app. I have to force quit and restart, and then it seems to work again.

Would it be possible to do something about YouTube embeds? Just a normal link would be fine.

I just submitted a release that should fix YouTube embeds, once it gets through Play Store review.

I'll probably bump this in a week to catch some of the people who have given up on YouTube embeds at this point.

They do, but generally you have to click through to watch the vid or even see what it is, it looks like this

generally I do this just to see what the vid is, and yt makes you watch an ad before it even reveals the title. is there a way to pull the thumbnail for these videos? suspect not, but thought it worth asking.

Yeah I'd have to bounce the YT request off a server in a different country, unfortunately.

Pulled from the Play Store because of.a screenshot that has been in the app listing for six years. Will fix soon, don't think anyone with the app should be affected.

On desktop, the elapsed time between the most recent and previous posts in the Beth Gibbons thread reads "twenty years pass". On Flagging, it reads "twemty years pass".

What's going on with Flagging? I can't use it any more, because I've been getting "unable to log in" errors for the last three days. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but now I can't log in at all.

For those having problems, what version of Android are you using?

just tried uninstalling then reinstalling version 1.28 on a 7.0 android and now at the edit account page when i try to log in after i type in email and password and go to SAVE i get

java.security.cert. CertPathValidatorException : Trust anchor for certification path not found

That's what I'm getting.

Can't reproduce it, so I'm sort of shooting in the dark, but there are a couple things I can try.

I have also been getting expired certification errors on ILX on Android Chrome for the past few days, also.

I deselected "I Love Games" in the list of boards but the deselection doesn't stick, I still see ILG threads in new answers. No offence to the gamers but is there a fix for this?

kinder mentioned a curious bug over there^^. Namely that my mark-up of hidden text (and mine alone?) is seemingly parsed oddly in the app. ie. this sort of thing. Possibly not a huge loss, as I post a lot of gibberish, but interesting nonetheless!

Though having removed a display name since I last posted, just in case, the problem may have evaporated for that^ demonstration!?!?!

Are there perhaps some characters I should avoid putting inside the tags? I'm struggling to find a pattern. I mean, folks can easily click through to the web if they really give a toss, but given that this had seemingly not been a problem before about January 26th it's quite intriguing.
