Just watched it again after Veg posted on fb. That last sequence, with the hose/rope/whatever is maniacal in conception. Love it!

one interesting thing to me is a few critic reviews namecheck lecarre which srsly is just their terribly lazy shorthand for "spies". there's ~zero~ lecarre here.

Worth it alone for the extended staircase fight/elevator/car chase sequence - as equal in intensity as the long scenes in Children Of Men.

Didn't know it was based on a comic book series.

Also, there's a fight scene in a movie theater playing Stalker

Nonsensical plot, could've had more fight scenes, Sofia Boutella was wasted.

Yeah this kinda sucked.

I didn't make it to the theater over the weekend, and reviews from friends have dampened my enthusiasm. :(

the action is good, the music is placed a little too obviously but decently picked, and the actual plot isn't telegraphed well enough to make the intrigue really stand out

Set, setting, and intrigue is about as relevant as a blog theme in this.
