Totality will occur at 1:27pm cdt and will last for 2 minutes and 24 seconds. We, along with our Old Friends, will be live broadcasting the eclipse from GrandPaw's Gardens. We wonder what our Old Friends will think about nighttime in the middle of the day! If you can't get to the eclipse, join us online for lots of updates and video from noon when the moon starts sliding over the sun until 3pm when the eclipse officially ends.This is an online only event.

my dachshund-chihuahua, Bucket, is now over 18 years old and still pretty cute but man she does NOT want to be petted or touched or cuddled at all these days. My vet said this is probably a consequence of her deafness (which set in about 2 years ago iirc? It is such a trip to walk into one's apartment and one's dog is sitting right there but facing away from the door, and they don't react to your arrival at ALL until you tap 'em on the shoulder.
It's kind of like owning an iguana? She just wants to ramble around the apartment looking for edible debris and pee 20x/day and get breakfast and dinner and sleep.
No major probs besides the deafness and intermittent terrier head tremors.
