When I was young I had a fairy costume that my mother sewed for me. I always wanted to wear it to school, but she would always say "no way." I dont think I ever really believed in fairies, but I appreciated the aesthetics very much.

I never believed in them, though I was scared of Gremlins, so belief in little supernatural creatures did feature in my childhood.

If you look closely at them you'll find that they are merely cut-out drawings on sticks.

Still, they made Arthur Conan Doyale look like a gullable twat.
