With "price gouging" everyone is forced to buy only as much as they absolutely need, leaving more resources for everyone. But that's lost on these economic illiterates who preach 'fairness at all costs'

Ok, suppose I'm first in line to buy the $99 tickets at Jet Blue. I'm wealthy, so even though I have a car I could evacuate on, I choose to buy 2 seats for myself and 1 seat for each of my 16 dogs. Maybe if the prices were higher I would have thought twice about buying all the seats. How does that make you feel? You can either have high cost seats available, or no seats. You economic illiterates would just ensure that NO seats are available.
