when they go low, we go high -- which got us where, exactly?

by far the most insufferable of the mainstream "resistance" assholes, and there's a lot of competition

Simon H., Thursday, 30 November 2017 15:08 (eight years ago)

his only positive contributions to society are via bojack horseman

Simon H., Thursday, 30 November 2017 15:11 (eight years ago)

ffs not everything needs to be captioned like it’s a fucking lolcat meme

I can’t believe this is a new thread

Also wow 2010 feels like such a long time ago

Keith Olbermann thinks Donald Trump is finished, and with that, so is his show “The Resistance.”

Olbermann announced in Monday’s episode of his GQ commentary series “The Resistance” that it would be the last episode, and that he would be retiring from political commentary in any outlet.

anyone who seriously thinks at this point that trump’s goose is in any way close to being cooked probably should retire from political commentary tbh

hi i’m darren and i’m a bouncer from bendigo (bizarro gazzara), Thursday, 30 November 2017 17:10 (eight years ago)

clearly pocahontas that did it

j., Thursday, 30 November 2017 17:16 (eight years ago)

you can hear the effects from that one reverberating throughout the polity

j., Thursday, 30 November 2017 17:17 (eight years ago)

just posting this here for posterity:

NEW VIDEO: The last episode of #TheResistanceGQ. The good news: I’m finishing it because I think - especially after “Pocahontas” - Trump is unavoidably, inevitably, and in every possible path open to him, FINISHED pic.twitter.com/NzguN6uvL3

— Keith Olbermann (@KeithOlbermann) November 27, 2017

the sad thing is that, as widely predicted by cynical view, everyone has almost COMPLETELY forgot about the (latest) pocahontas thing already.

Karl Malone, Thursday, 30 November 2017 17:27 (eight years ago)

the last 30 seconds of that video is so intensely weird

Karl Malone, Thursday, 30 November 2017 17:29 (eight years ago)

I like the "alone in my underground bunker" quality to his ResistanceGQ videos.

... (Eazy), Thursday, 30 November 2017 17:31 (eight years ago)

yes of course, america’s famously deep wellspring respect and reverence for native americans means that trump’s 78th use of the word ‘pocahantas’ would finally be one step too far

hi i’m darren and i’m a bouncer from bendigo (bizarro gazzara), Thursday, 30 November 2017 17:32 (eight years ago)

pls excuse spelling, my tears of joy and hope obscured my view of the screen

odd time to crank up a thread on this guy.

xyzzzz__, Thursday, 30 November 2017 17:51 (eight years ago)

I saw Olbermann talk about baseball cards at a convention this summer, and it's interesting how he didn't come across in that context as a foaming delusional lunatic.

ice cream social justice (Dr Morbius), Thursday, 30 November 2017 18:17 (eight years ago)

Oh wow I thought there was a slim chance that Olbermann was quitting because he'd gotten some inside dirt that was truly damning but in actuality he's just incredibly naïve and/or hasn't paid any attention whatsoever to how the world works now that the apocalypse is in full swing.

Ripped Taylor (Old Lunch), Thursday, 30 November 2017 18:34 (eight years ago)

We got Seth Abramson for this now #wegotthis

greeeat

Simon H., Thursday, 30 November 2017 18:40 (eight years ago)

the "retirement" is super odd, to the extent that I wonder if it was precipitated by something else

Simon H., Thursday, 30 November 2017 18:41 (eight years ago)

I can’t believe this is a new thread

ha i thought the same thing!

flappy bird, Thursday, 30 November 2017 18:43 (eight years ago)

I read a recent-ish profile on him from this year, probably around when he was starting this show he just impulsively ended (fr it probably got cancelled bc nobody gives a fuck), anyway the story just made him out to be this total weirdo, there was some quote about him being "on the spectrum" and that explained his insanely rude behavior

flappy bird, Thursday, 30 November 2017 18:44 (eight years ago)

y'know, i really don't have a problem with keith olbermann

brimstead, Thursday, 30 November 2017 20:31 (eight years ago)

it's not like keith knew flynn would flip the next day

aren't baseball card fanatics often delusional and foaming?

axiomatically so

j., Friday, 1 December 2017 18:50 (eight years ago)

so it seems that olivia nuzzi lived with olbermann for four years around the time that he was in his early 50s and she was . . . possibly not yet 20

needless to say, he is Posting Through It

it is kinda funny that Keith is part of Olivia's conspicuous dating pattern and she is also part of his

some dude, Wednesday, 19 November 2025 02:09 (three months ago)

he's admitted that he has known her since 2011, and he was replying to her tweets as early as march 2011, two months after she turned 18.
