this was pretty funny. did anyone watch it?

michael wells (michael w.), Friday, 1 November 2002 16:29 (twenty-three years ago)

Why would I watch it? I fucking *live* it.

Was it anything to do with the monthly Mother Bar/333 fanzine from around these parts?

kate, Friday, 1 November 2002 16:32 (twenty-three years ago)

shit, I missed it. Hope it was funnier than TVgohome on tv, which was shite.

chris (chris), Friday, 1 November 2002 16:34 (twenty-three years ago)

i enjoyed it, even though it's basically a one trick pony, it's quite a good trick ;)

meg taped it so you can watch it when you come round innit.

"you" being chris that is...

not that kate can't come round or anything, if she wants to :)

It was linked to that, yeah. It was the main article in the Guardian Guide this weekend, though the impression I got off that was it was rather like TVGH's very own Nowbiter supplement...

Mr Swygart (mrswygart), Friday, 1 November 2002 16:38 (twenty-three years ago)

it was funnier than TVGH.

it was indeed, i liked the 'club escort' sketch especialy - the town planners thing was wry and the rave re-enactment society was cute

self-satirization. the circles decrease ever further. i havent seen it. do i need to? can i pat my own back?

gareth (gareth), Friday, 1 November 2002 16:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Stevey boy, can I come round to watch it too? Am a fool who forgets to set video recorder. *sigh* On the other hand do I really need to? I can probably just make it up in my head out of pointless rants about kewl people with added imaginary comedic interludes.

Isn't this a bit old hat. Haven't the twats moved on somewhere new now? Shoreditch was full of lawyers last time I went there... who are of course wankers not twats.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 1 November 2002 17:19 (twenty-three years ago)

where is shoreditch?

jel -- (jel), Friday, 1 November 2002 18:10 (twenty-three years ago)

gareth (gareth), Friday, 1 November 2002 18:11 (twenty-three years ago)

thankyou gareth.

cor blimey there aren't many parks around shoreditch.

I saw this show, it was quite funny in parts.

jel -- (jel), Friday, 1 November 2002 18:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Excuse me, we have the lovely Shoreditch Park less than a block from my house!

(OK, it's only a park because it's un-redevelopped bombsite, but still. It's got the Hoxton Playpark in it!)

kate, Friday, 1 November 2002 18:29 (twenty-three years ago)

I saw it but didn't think it was that funny ("haha Shoreditch! People who live in Shoreditch are twats!" REPEAT FOR 30mins)

(I think Sue Denim from Robots In Disguise was in it at one point, but I might be mistaken)

jamesmichaelward (jamesmichaelward), Friday, 1 November 2002 19:43 (twenty-three years ago)
