I always thought that "Where there's smoke, there's me" was one of the more memorably/wonderfully stupid of these.

Also, immediately underneath that quote we're told that Inferno's 'motto' is "The hotter things get, the better I like it!" - so what exactly is "Where there's smoke, there's me" then, just some dunb thing he said one time?

Also, Inferno's a fire truck and his function is 'search and rescue', but those quotes and his profile do not exactly make him seem like the best guy for the job - more like a pyromaniac. I bet that when there is fire (which he probably set himself), he'll set his cannon to 'corrosive acid' instead of 'water'.

You guys seem to completely misunderstand the mindset of firefighters, SAR teams and affiliates - what inferno is saying is just a twist on the old “running towards the burning building” cliche and later emphasizing that he enjoys the dangerous aspects of his job, although as a practiced veteran I am certain he employs the utmost skill in ensuring scene safety and body substance isolation before committing to work.
