List cases where thing A and thing B resemble thing C, but do not resemble each other

So I've got this mate that looks like Pob, and Michael Gove resembles Pob, but my mate doesn't look like Michael Gove.

I think you might have come across why Gove is so repulsive. His always wet protruding bottom lip is always wet. Reminds of Pob's spitting. It's why he - not Pob- won't ever be Prime Minister
