When taking a taxi alone do you

The back obviously. They don’t want you up front.

The only person who should be sitting up front in a cab is dad, when fitting a family of four into a standard sedan taxi.

I sit in the back but I kind of like when the cabbie wants to talk , because you wind up having very different conversations from your typical ones, and then at the end you never have to see them again so no biggie.

Depends on how sketchy the driver seems, but often up front because I like to control where hes going and sometimes if yr not paying attention they'll take a crap (ie more costly) route.

Also, I dont like feeling like some Driving Miss Daisy nob.

I would never think to open the front door

Actually sometimes in an uber I sit up front.

If its a pool and the backseat is full yeah but otherwise no way

I mostly go in the front, but I've noticed a lot of drivers have the front passenger seat in a very forward position and need to adjust it (to accomodate me) when I get in, as if they don't expect me to get in front

In the latest qantas safety video it shows someone getting into the front of a New York taxi and the driver saying "You must bean Aussie". I didn't know this was a thing, or at least a thing that the marketing people at qantas think is a thing. I have no idea about what safety point they were trying to demonstrate, the video takes so long trying to explain how awesome Aussies are at travelling that I tune out, I assume the key points are the same, at least it isn't painfully awful like the British Airways one.
