Hello everyone,
As some of you may already be aware, the inFiniTi project grew in size and vigour as the years have gone by. With this came variables that were out of our control and unforeseen. We attempted to address prioritized issues, but spanning across multiple time zones and continents, it was not coming together as the team had originally planned, and it was not, for lack of a better term, scaling. It is now clear that it has become increasingly difficult to organise a concerted effort in running a smooth operation and one that fosters creativity and humour. Thus, we have agreed on a hiatus until further notice.
I would just like to personally thank everyone for their cooperation. The creativity of the writers came together perfectly on numerous occasions, drawing from the characters we met in real life, the stories we heard, and the dynamics between users on the board. Somehow along the way, some of us grew into better people and affected others in a positive way. To those people, I'd like to thank for getting in touch and expressing such earnest thoughts that served to humble all of us.
Our little project was not without its faults, of course, but we are just regular guys after all. A few did not stay in character and posted as regular users, developing bonds and connections that were not the team's initial intent. That was to be expected, though, as this was purely voluntary and done on downtime. Others have moved on to start a family and grew out of the team. I want to stress these are all great people and we wish them the best in everything.
There is a special shoutout to be made to the UK/Irish goon crew, who probably was performing their best at the team's peak, which was undoubtedly no coincidence.
For now, some have decided to go back to their old and/or other usernames, while others have taken a break from the board all together. Good luck trying to figure out who is who!
Thank you for playing. I appreciate those who answered seriously.
Until next time, in whatever shape or form
