Whats the story with this Carnaval. Is it worth taking a vacation to experience. The wife and I are considering.

yeah, you can kick Homme Du Neige or whatever they call that tubby wank in the balls. I hated that bastard, he littered my old Math exercise books for at least 3 years in elementary school. it helps if you can speak a little french. If you like Jazz they got a smoking jazz festival acording to several of my coworkers so you might want to wait for that if it rings thy bell.

Yes! Death to Bonhomme!

Actually, I think someone recently put a gun totin' psycho version of him on a book jacket and got their asses sued because he's a "lovable mascot". I'm with the book jacket people - I've always thought he was creepy as fuck.

Sorry Chris - I guess this isn't very constructive. I've never been out there for the whole Carinival thing (Quebec City is worth the trip any time though) but I hear they build an ice hotel every year now, which might be something to see. The closest I've got is the Winterlude festival in Ottawa, and that was actually a lot of fun.

"Carinival " haha wow - could I misspell Carnaval any worse?

the montreal jazzfest noodles? i didn't realize you worked with the criminally insane.

i'm afraid i can't help much with carnaval specifics either chris - quebec city really is pretty any time of year but crowds freak me out so i've never been. from what i understand, it's a fairly family-oriented festival with winter activities (skating and um...), quebecois folk-music, food, etc. bundle up! (brrr it's snowing here already)

In this children's book, Bonhomme Carnival is really a disguised assasin!

The leaders of the world's superpowers have agreed to meet in Quebec City to put an end to chemical weapons - but powerful forces will stop at nothing to prevent the agreement from being signed. From the first chilling page, Cold Midnight in Vieux Quebec is filled with gripping suspense as Tom Austen and Dietmar Oban explore the ancient, mysterious streets of Vieux Quebec in quest of world peace.

Yeah, you should absolutely go! Québec is where the party's at!

(hey, what's that about the criminally insane? The jazzfest is F!U!N!)
