First 30 minutes are actually pretty fun. Once water people attack surface, it's DOA.
Some of the CGI visuals are so bad. Especially the part in the desert, which feels like it's out of a Disney channel sitcom.
Aqua is portrayed as an ign'ant dudebro who forgets almost the entirety of a simple recorded message 30 seconds after it ends, yet moments later, easily recalls ancient Roman history he hasn't thought about since high school at the drop of a hat.
Also the cartoon falling noise plays at one point when he is falling out of the sky.

I enjoyed the hell out of this. It’s every blockbuster ever made mashed up into a colorful, ridiculous movie loaf. It doesn’t always gel or make much sense but I was never bored, which is more than I say for a lot of recent superhero movies.
Also I can’t possibly dislike a movie with a drum-playing octopus in it.
