because I am two episodes into "Forever" and realizing she is underrated. But I realized I p much love her whenever she shows up - singing backup for a D'Angelo tribute to Prince, bit part as the receptionist in "Inherent Vice", the center of attention in "Bridesmaids", popping in for a tune during "A Very Murray Christmas".

"Forever" is the rare show where I can't tell where it's going at all, which I consider a good thing.

i love her but had to stop watching forever about four episodes in when it became clear that it didn't have a single fresh or interesting idea.

I've never watched Big Mouth, but you the second person today I've heard say that.

Big Mouth is really great. I had 2 false starts on Forever but may try it again. She's great on The Good Place too.

Big Mouth is fantastic - I have a hard time getting into any kind of animation but this show is so gross and so hilarious

Yes! She's my favorite part of Big Mouth. Her demented New Orleans floozy voice is a treasure.

I just remembered her turn as Dionne Warwick on Kimmy Schmidt and laughed out loud.

Timely thread--I just learned today that her mom is Minnie Riperton.

Yeah, "Lovin' You" even started as a bedtime lullaby for Maya before it was later given actual lyrics.

I was reminded on the internet a couple weeks ago that she was in the rentals - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rentals

had to stop watching forever about four episodes

kinda as with Netflix's "Maniac" (and now having watched everything but the last two episodes) while I wouldn't say I'm watching this show for originality per se, every episode and plot twist is so out-of-nowhere that I can't say that viewing a subset of episodes of this show gives any real impression of where the story goes or what it's about.

like yeah, there was one episode that was m/l the premise of Beetlejuice but that episode bears no similarity to the other episodes

Οὖτις, Friday, 28 December 2018 17:55 (six years ago)

Yeah, totally got Beetlejuice vibes! Show's kind of a downer though.

Doesnt end on a downer (imo)
