How long has “bubble butt” been around as a thing

Google Books returns a reference from 1947, on page three of the Daytona Beach Morning Journal. It talks about an exhibit of satirical pastels by Richard Sanford, who was introduced by "Mrs Charles Boardman, department chairman".

"The clubwomen gathered in conversational knots before such far-fetched caricatures as "Poody Mae Bubblebutt, Miss Kumquat of 1947" (a bulbous figured female horror in beach garb), "Closing Time", and "Juke Joint". Several of the women were overheard to remark, of "Juke Joint", that they didn't see how an artist could waste his time painting such unnatural horrors.

It was noted, however, that these censors spent more time scrutinizing this "horror" than they did before the more conventional items such as still lifes and less sinister girls heads.

Mrs O B Shanley and Mrs Joseph Whittaker presided at a tea table centered with an arrangement of calendula flanked by yellow tapers."

This was back during the dark days when women didn't just steal their husband's surname, they took his entire identity and passed themselves off as him. Luckily men fought back and here we are today.

Also there are three or four good band names in that article. Good names for early-80s British postmodern art-pop bands along the lines of Kissing the Pink or The Flying Lizards etc. For example:

Flanked by Yellow Tapers, who could perhaps be a Dr John tribute band but with a synthesiser.

The Sinister Girls, who are inspired by the quirky 1950s nostalgia of the 1980s.

Shanley / Whittaker, a postmodern folk duo.

Lydia Pinkham's Vegetable Compound, who do Beatles covers in a grindcore style.

It's easy to poke fun at the 1940s! And that's why I'm doing it.

Surprisingly, Lydia Pinkham is an extant company!
