Many people think that the asparagus-makes-your-urine-smell-funny was a genetic trait. That is, that for some people, eating asparagus makes your piss smell.

But! The fact is, *the ability to smell asparagus-piss* is a trait. Some people can, some people can't, but the people who can smell it can smell anyone's.

I like this phenomenon because it is so easy to fall into the false conclusion from observation.

It smells like asparagus. And even weirder, it's almost immediate. I can get up from the dinner table and go straight to the toilet and the smell is already there in the urine. How can it happen so fast?!
