I am waiting to go have a conversation I dread having with someone who might not even be there when I get there.

why daily?

i get with this with some phonecalls, and will postpone them for the most specious reasons: live in person i am much less circumspect, for some reason

mark s, I had to come up with a subject line for the thread--that's all. It's a bad pun on Daily Bread. Also, I thought that would encourage others to post without feeling they have to comment on my post.

four years pass...
Last night I got stupendously drunk and called my ex. I have no recollection of the content of the conversation, however I received an email this morning thanking me for helping him to have a sleepless night. He is also coming to my house tonight to "discuss everything".

All day long I have had THE DREAD.

I dread calling a consulate tomorrow to try to get information on visa applications. First time I tried, I basically got hung up on, and second time I tried, calling a different consulate, I was told to call back the first, which I am not looking forward to. The people I've talked to have really seemed more suspicious of me than willing to help, I don't even know if they will let me talk to someone who actually can answer my questions.

whoa hla i did not read your post first but yours is definitely worse dread

Maria, Monday, 23 April 2007 06:42 (eighteen years ago)

Yours sounds crap too. Bureaucracy - who needs it.

Urgh, I have to go home now. I feel seriously ill. At least when I post tomorrow, the DREAD will be over.

oh yeah, and i'm dreading going home to clean up the indiscretions of my kitten.

The reality never quite matches up to the expectation, which in this case was a good thing. The air is clear and all is good.

Years ago my enemy was the assignment-due-tomorrow-that-I-haven't-even-started-yet-dread.

HLA I am pleased for you but... the thread kinda lost its vitalness with your last post :)
