My second home is here: http://www.flywheelarts.org/
The Northern Hemisphere sister to Arc, but there's no booze ;0 Sexy Daver has been seen making the moves here. So when is your band playing here????

I'm also here a lot: http://www.wmua.org/
Cataloging the collection while trying out those new CDs/Records before I buy. Were working on getting net broadcasting back up.

Hopefully I'll be next Fall: http://www.uri.edu/artsci/lsc/
So I better stop procrastinating and get some work done.

Stop by and see me sometime

think too fucking much!

donna (donna), Sunday, 10 November 2002 19:33 (twenty-three years ago)

I have a full-time job, an exciting new girlfriend, nine tickets for London Film Festival flicks and I'm one of the most frequent posters to ILE - I also watch a lot of TV, talk on the phone and meet up with friends, read a few books a week, and a few magazines, plus the Guardian every day, I go to art galleries and museums most weeks, write the odd article, and have another important message board (a Yahoo group containing all my best friends) and some AIM/MSN chats. It's no wonder my house is such a mess!

For someone with no life, no hobbies and no ILx at home, I have almost no free time. When I'm at home I'm either watching TV (or watching videos of TV I've taped), cooking or sleeping. I don't know where the time goes at all.

Graham (graham), Sunday, 10 November 2002 19:58 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm doing up an old Series 3 Stage 1 V8 long wheelbase Land Rover as an ongoing project.

I've got about two acres of garden to try and keep in order (I grow loads of fruit and veg).

I cook.......I really love to cook, and am always inviting friends over for dinner.

I have the sort of house that always needs work doing to it, so seem to be in a constant state of Doing Some Decorating - hoping to get the dining room re-done in the next couple of weeks.

I help to run the Youth Club in my village - the kids round here have nothing much to do as we are in the heart of the countryside with no public transport, so the Youth Club meets on Friday nights at the village hall for kids aged 8-14. I'm in charge of trying to arrange Interesting Things for them to do - summer barbecues, trips to go ice skating, challenging neighbouring villages to football or rounders matches, getting famous footballers/TV celebs to come and visit, that sort of thing (plus having to do all the fund raising as there's never any money).

I have a Georgian-style Doll's House (don't laugh) which I am decorating and furnishing. The dog went mad last week during a firework display and ate part of this so I'm not a happy bunny at the moment.

I love to read, but there's never enough time to read as much as I'd like.

I spend more time than I should on the computer, but of course it's a great way to keep in touch with friends all over the country/world. I'm always forwarding silly e-mails to people, but miss getting proper handwritten letters. Next year's resolution is to write more of those.

I've been tracing my family history. Much of the work is completed now, but there's always a bit more research that can be done. This sort of thing never seems to finish!

I'm currently making my Christmas cards. I always do my own hand-made ones, this year involving holly and ivy (from my garden) which I've dried in a flower press. And pretty amazing they look too.

Er .... that's about it, I guess. God, I sound boring!

Slowly climb up the ILX users ladder. Have at you, DV!

Where does all the time go?

I teach the Cadillac Walk.

Daniel_Rf (Daniel_Rf), Sunday, 10 November 2002 23:01 (twenty-three years ago)

I spend almost all my time lately putting my vinyl and CD purchases onto convenient CDR compilations for me to listen to at work (and in the car/public transport when I finally buy a discman)..

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Monday, 11 November 2002 00:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Not counting homework and college applications and extracurricular activities as free time: I read most of all, spend time on instant messenger, write a little. Also I learn Russian or play my instruments when I have time (but lately I haven't had time). I should have more time because I don't think I need to cry all week again (I hope I hope), and that should give me an extra hour a day or so.

Maria (Maria), Monday, 11 November 2002 03:09 (twenty-three years ago)

I either go out with my girlfriend, go out with my friends and get drunk, watch tv or video, listen to music (or go out and buy some music). There are many variations within these things, but that pretty much covers it.

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Monday, 11 November 2002 09:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Sadly I currently have no free time as I have no days off until the 25th of Nov. ARGH!

nathalie (nathalie), Monday, 11 November 2002 10:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I send time with my fiancé and his kids (I’m Dad’s New Girlfriend, cue hysterical giggles), read, read and read some more, listen to music, watch tv, unpack boxes and finish all those little things that need done when you move house, go out and get very very drunk, repeat to fade…..

Plinky (Plinky), Monday, 11 November 2002 10:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Does free time mean time other than time at work? If so my free time is taken up by yoga, arabic, films, gigs, zinewriting, being tired, boardgames, roleplaying games, comic reading, vacantly looking at shite on the internet, etc.

DV (dirtyvicar), Monday, 11 November 2002 10:37 (twenty-three years ago)
