I just wanted to say, I really cherish our friendship: A Thread for Dress Up Gang - TBS Television Show and Online Comedy Troupe

Dress Up Gang is an Abso Lutely adult swim style absurdist sitcom featuring Andie MacDowell as Andie MacDowelll for no reason. Ten half hour episodes are on TBS just now and it's a slow burn that really pays off. Recommended for fans of Joe Pera and I Think You Should Leave; really warms up in the last few episodes. It's somehow profane and very very sweet at the same time.

It's difficult to really convey what makes Dress Up Gang work, but this (non-television aired or show related) short is pretty indicative.

I was in the "this is okay" camp for three episodes, moved to "this is good" by episode six and then the last few eps pushed it into great territory.

they're all part of the same shared universe and they are basically consistent with the characters but it varies.
if there's a movie, i wanna see it!
i don't think it would even help to jump ahead to the "good ones;" i think it's about getting in the right headspace.

My favourite thing about this show is probably how the music score emphasizes all the drama.

I love that's there almost no build-up for laughs, it's just a steady flow and so dense w/ hilarious little mumbled lines or gestures.

Like Frankie doing that two-second rando dance in his "keep off grass" trap...I'm only 5 (10) eps in and already there are too many of these to remember

(^ every half-hour show is two mini-episodes)

I'd seen those YouTube shorts a while back and dug them but did not guess it had the legs for a longer format. It totally does.

one of my fave bits is that cory always reacts to seeing frankie with the classic passive-aggressive dad "oh i didn't know you were here" greeting
