I was going to see Broken Blossoms the day that theaters shut down here. I haven't seen any of these.

I've seen Caligari, the two Keatons above, Dreyer, Griffith, and of course a Hank Mann comedy short entitled Broken Bubbles.

The Golem is currently on the Criterion Channel, as are a couple Micheaux films.

I'm not crazy about Broken Blossoms either.

This'll be Caligari or One Week for me. Still need to see The Golem and Neighbors.

Caligari forever

recently watched both of the Dreyers, Leaves From Satan's Book was ok but I really liked The Parson's Widow

Not wild about Caligari tbh. Tempted to vote One Week for being short and tight, though I'd forgotten about the pseudo-self-lynching gag about halfway through.

My students liked Caligari more than I did.

I guess TSPDT got the year wrong on Broken Blossoms, also. Ah well.
