i use pert plus these days so my shampoo and conditioner is ALL THE SAME THING

I also use a combination of shampoo and conditioner in one bottle, and now I'm wondering how it works — if the shampoo part strips away grease and oil, and the conditioner part is supposed to restore some, but this is happening at the exact same time...which one is winning?

however another site says "The pH range encountered while cleansing your hair is not high enough to open the cuticle. This is a myth.", another site says that hot water opens them and cold closes. verdict: unproven.

i only use conditioner (no shampoo) -- it makes my dry, dense, curly hair less frizzy, softer, and closer in resemblance to the hair in pictures of attractive people in advertisements.
