The Freudian slip gotcha moment has finally arrived.

Kidding aside, I really hope he’ll steer clear of those two. It does seem likelier than not at this stage.

pomenitul, Friday, 13 November 2020 15:06 (four years ago)

I think he will try and put back the Iran deal, it's just whether Iran will care for that..

The one good-ish thing that Trump did (foreign policy-wise) was establish what seemed like some sort of relations with North Korea (South Korea seemed to welcome this). I don't know how that would change.

I reckon Biden will go hard on Venezuela.

xyzzzz__, Friday, 13 November 2020 15:27 (four years ago)

I was reading that Iranians were following the election with great interest for that reason, deescalation is in their interests too, so it would be great for that to work out.

scampus fugit (gyac), Friday, 13 November 2020 15:40 (four years ago)

I expect Biden will make at least some effort to reassemble the Iran nuclear deal, but Trump broke that so badly it may be hopeless now. That doesn't count as a flaw, tho.

the unappreciated charisma of cows (Aimless), Friday, 13 November 2020 18:45 (four years ago)

The U.S. most certainly won't take lead there. But I could imagine a Germany, Russia, France, China led effort that the U.S. signed onto.

Biden will be gone in four years. Who knows what his successor will do?

xyzzzz__, Friday, 13 November 2020 19:55 (four years ago)

I think Biden will try and get the Iran-deal back on the go, was one of the achievements of Obama foreign policy. Iran has an election in 2021 (with the "hardline" likely to win) and the democrats will likely get creamed in 2022 so I expect it to go nowhere.

HOLD UP WAIT - further developments on this issue from 2012

The vice president strode into The Mocha House (Warren, Ohio) with a message for the locals enjoying their lunch:

"I'm Joe Bidenopoulos!"

“Ask George who’s the most Greek Irishman he’s ever known.” he told some men gathered around a table. It was unclear who George was, but it was otherwise clear that the vice president was talking about himself.

He posed for photographs, kissed one woman on the top of the head, met supporters - and had a chuckle when one introduced himself as Paul Newman.

“Let’s dance,” he said to one woman, named Jennifer, as she stood up right next to him. They posed for a photo before he turned to her tablemate, who was wearing scrubs, and asked, ‘Are you a nurse?”

Then, he posed with a group of restaurant staff and owners.

“Can I get some rice pudding to go?” he asked, just before the pool was ushered out at 1:05 p.m.

is it possible that Joe Biden has only heard of two countries

armoured van, Holden (sic), Friday, 19 March 2021 05:06 (four years ago)

you can't argue with the authentic Greek menu at the joint though

armoured van, Holden (sic), Friday, 19 March 2021 05:23 (four years ago)

I just don’t understand the rice pudding fixation. When did Joe Biden last eat solid food?

Canon in Deez (silby), Friday, 19 March 2021 05:25 (four years ago)

did he often talk about "being Irish" before having his genealogy officially traced in 2008?

his only trip to Ireland appears to have been at the age of 74, apart from visits to the Shannon duty free shop while refueling Air Force Two earlier in the vice-presidency. idk if veeps have to go through customs to get a toblerone.

three years before that, he told a Mumbai crowd that someone had written to him in 1972 & told him he had family there via the East India Trading Company, but he'd ignored it completely until that moment regretted not following it up.

armoured van, Holden (sic), Friday, 19 March 2021 06:21 (four years ago)
