I honestly believe Donald Trump is one of those galaxybrains who does not think that other people are real. That's why he doesn't give a shit about the Covid death toll or how many people in the White House he infects. When his brother died he was silent on it for a few days and then put out a statement like "you know, he was really proud of me".

Outside the staggering ability to bring out the absolute worst in others, a complete inability to focus or execute on anything of substance.

Why this is the worst: hundreds of thousands dead before their time.

Con: If he had executed on this or any of several other things on remotely competent ways, he likely would have been re-elected and turned the country solidly towards authoritarianism.

He cares too much. Also, he's his own worst critic.

I don’t know if I really buy the whole “he would’ve won had he been remotely competent” thing. His disapproval rating has always been at 50% or higher. I know we talk a lot about how his base won’t leave him no matter how much he fucks up but the inverse is probably true too

This is probably painfully obvious, but the fact that you can create a list of FIFTY character faults and Trump embodies all of them to large degrees, like he’s a poster child for many of them, makes him pretty uniquely awful in my lifetime.

His butthole emits an incessant squeal like someone pinched the end of a deflating balloon.

I know it’s not the “right” answer but I voted for crybaby, that’s maybe the single thing that’s most pathetic about him and most baffling about the fact that anyone, let alone millions of Americans, worship him. Just the constant whining and throwing pity parties for himself when he’s the most fortunate person on the planet

Actually the more I think about it the more I feel like a “competent” Covid response would be one of the few things he could do to lose his diehard supporters

When he’s not just completely focused on enriching and benefitting himself, it’s like he tries to think of the most evil thing he could do to harm others, and does that. Often for what seems like no reason! And he has a lot of what I would consider “henchmen”, rather than appointees or whatever.

The malignant narcissism encompasses many, if not most of these, and likely also prevented him from addressing his own racism, sexism, authoritarianism, etc.

As someone whose life has been seriously adversely affected by someone with another of the cluster B personality disorders, the narcissism is like the Nuremberg Trial assessment on wars of aggression, it differs from other flaws "in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole."

Egotism. It's the closest thing listed here to his lust for fame which is what caused him to run for Prez. Without it he'd just be some skeevy real estate douchebag. But "neediness" would be a better option.

He cheats at golf. That's pretty pathetic.

Lack of empathy stood out strongly for me. He's never come close to trying to relate to how normal people feel whatsoever.
