Really boring first two acts (the only saving grace of which is Julia's heroin chic look), but the rest is a subtle manipulation of style and genre that explains the slow beginning. I had a more specific idea worked out but I've lost it.
Also big ups to the Jekyll/Hyde transformation re: the homonculus looking dealy.
