xpost what this video actually reminded me of was the number of irl moments i've had observing other lawyers flounder in court. many of them are incompetent. and now i think maybe they were just kittens.

i had an extremely brief conversation with a county lawyer today at work. i told him he needed to contact my co-worker "jane done" and he said, "ahhh, good ole jane doe" and i wanted to slap him lol. i also had an unbelievably pompous email response from a lawyer recently. #lawyerstories

one time i persuaded my boss to let me order a transcript (expensive) just so i could relive my greatest moment when opposing counsel was behaving like a potato and the judge was dressing her down. i said i needed it "for later in the case." i did not. she moved on to another office, and so did i, so i didn't get to see how she behaved in zoom court but i can imagine her doing something like this.

i've dealt with a lot of people who actually had low IQs, but this person was the dumbest i'd ever encountered and she was a licensed attorney. it's bad out there!

That long pause is the judge weighing whether the lawyer actually thinks the judge thinks the lawyer is a cat.
