"Yes!"

Has anyone ever said other than on telly?

Graham (graham), Thursday, 14 November 2002 12:50 (twenty-three years ago)

"GO ON THEN!"

michael wells (michael w.), Thursday, 14 November 2002 13:04 (twenty-three years ago)

"come and have a go if you think you're OWWW!"

DV (dirtyvicar), Thursday, 14 November 2002 13:09 (twenty-three years ago)

It got a fairly well-known distributor cracked in the schnozz by an even more famous film director last week, so utter stupidity, I say.

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 14 November 2002 13:30 (twenty-three years ago)

"Yeah but what are you gonna do eh? Cry, cry like a girl" always works for me.

Jarlr'mai (jarlrmai), Thursday, 14 November 2002 14:27 (twenty-three years ago)

In my family, 'it takes a man, not a shirt button' is the automatic and slightly bizarre response to any (usually pretend) threat of violence. I don't know if this is an expression used elsewhere (could be a Liverpool thing?) but I like it.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 14 November 2002 14:34 (twenty-three years ago)

'whatcha gonna do, release the hounds? or the bees? or the dogs with the bees in their mouth and when they bark they shoot bees at you?'

hopefully your adversary will spot the ref and laugh it off...or you'll get wacked for tryin to be clever/funny but failing, worth a try tho eh?

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 14 November 2002 15:33 (twenty-three years ago)

archel, i have never heard the shirt-button/man interface. it may just be a 'your house' thing.

michael wells (michael w.), Thursday, 14 November 2002 15:38 (twenty-three years ago)

suzy has fallen into self-parody

bob zemko (bob), Thursday, 14 November 2002 21:54 (twenty-three years ago)

dont tempt someone with a big fist and a lack of shame.

donna (donna), Thursday, 14 November 2002 22:26 (twenty-three years ago)

Even though it doesn't scan, donna's post reminded me of "Poison" by Bell Biv Devoe.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 14 November 2002 22:31 (twenty-three years ago)

Whoa, Bob. Repercussions from said fistfight made my life verrrry interesting this past week. And the punchee did honestly ask what the puncher was going to do about it, so...

suzy (suzy), Friday, 15 November 2002 05:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Suzy's my new hero (after Larry Clark and maybe Brad Renfro - is he in the new one?)

Dan - Never trust a big butt and a smile?

James Blount (James Blount), Friday, 15 November 2002 06:39 (twenty-three years ago)
