Ok, look im used to plot running out of control, red herrings, predictable false trails and extremely unlikely supervillains ending up as a huge conspiracy, ive watch tv before

I take it you're mainly talking crime shows? + Borgen I guess. Crime-adjacent. As a Scandi, yeah, basically, often trite, often nonsensical, the better ones make for some sort of formulaic comfort food. Just a slightly different formula from the british ones, but now there are scandi-like british productions as well, country independent 'nordic noir', to make the distinction blurrier.

There are non-formulaic non-crime dramas being made but I don't know how much traction they have outside of Scandinavia. Except SKAM, which was a justifiable hit, and pretty unique.
