you tell a straight boy you want to fuck him and he has a panic attack, any guesses to as why ?

anthony easton (anthony), Thursday, 14 November 2002 21:52 (twenty-three years ago)

cause he really wants you he just doesn't know it yet don't let him tell you otherwise!

Yancey (ystrickler), Thursday, 14 November 2002 21:56 (twenty-three years ago)

he thought you were just there to spray for bugs.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 14 November 2002 21:59 (twenty-three years ago)

maybe becuz people don't always expect the queer inquisition!!

jess (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 14 November 2002 22:08 (twenty-three years ago)

Um, for the same reason that if you tell anyone so bluntly (besides those who also want to fuck you), that they will have a panic attack?

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 14 November 2002 22:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Ally is OTM.

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 14 November 2002 22:14 (twenty-three years ago)

anthony in bluntness shocker.

jess (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 14 November 2002 22:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Straight boys aren't on the whole used to the very real possibility that their sexual partner could physically overpower them (and all that implies) if they chose to. I suspect that has something to do with it.

Mark C (Mark C), Thursday, 14 November 2002 23:02 (twenty-three years ago)

weird ... you're right about that.

fields of salmon (fieldsofsalmon), Thursday, 14 November 2002 23:10 (twenty-three years ago)

maybe you ugly

James Blount (James Blount), Thursday, 14 November 2002 23:12 (twenty-three years ago)

Ally's on OTM, as noted.

Anthony, that really didn't accomplish much, did it? If Mr. Straight-Boy is actually a closet-case...well, what you wanna be messin' round with a bag of damaged goods like that? It's so NOT worth the agony afterwards. And if he's straight through-and-through, he's not gonna f**k you anyway, so why bother?

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Thursday, 14 November 2002 23:44 (twenty-three years ago)

booze, grass and remeron make anthony make bad descions.

anthony easton (anthony), Thursday, 14 November 2002 23:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Asking someone if they want to fuck is perfectly acceptable in many social circumstances and UNLESS Anthony knew for a fact that dude was 100% totally and completely straight he couldn't have known that dude would respond with a "No" or as it happened an "Ugh, no." Anyway, I don't know if this was a bad decision or not (a lot depends on the sort of non-verbal cues Anthony was picking up and sending out) but I think it's great to be upfront with people you want to sleep with.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Friday, 15 November 2002 00:15 (twenty-three years ago)

I'd like to know what social situation except for maybe a sex club or bathhouse it's acceptable to say "I want to fuck you" to someone and expect a calm, reasonable reply. I'm *far* from conservative, but I'll tell you; even if a cutie walked up to me in a bar and said that, I'd be disturbed by it. I have no problem with being upfront, but please...

Sean (Sean), Friday, 15 November 2002 00:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Hahaha okay where did I advocate this as a CONVERSATION STARTER, Sean? Anyway, at bars, parties, whatever, in conversation with people with whom you seem to share a mutual attraction with, I fail to see why being upfront and cutting to the chase is something that would necessarilly make someone uncomfortable. Like I said, I think it's kind of refreshingly honest.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Friday, 15 November 2002 00:29 (twenty-three years ago)

I agree there's nothing wrong with it, Alex. But, practically, this technique is more doomed to failure than not (if it's not in an obvious setting like a bathouse or a sex chatroom what have you), because it leaves little room and time for any mental foreplay of the accosted.

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 15 November 2002 00:41 (twenty-three years ago)

(Not to mention the high possibility that they're not into you that way, of course)

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 15 November 2002 00:42 (twenty-three years ago)

I think it depends on how it's brought up, how into you the other person seems, how into the other person you seem, and about a hundred other little factors--I don't think it is a) automatically "wrong" or b) automatically doomed to failure or c) inclined to necessarily make anyone uncomfortable or edgy, in fact, I think in many of cases it's really pretty cool and it's a pretty good way of setting boundaries and making people feel LESS uncomfortable (i.e. I am simply into having sex with you and nothing more--if you are into that then let's fuck).

I don't get the "high possibility" crack, Brian. Is that directed at anyone in particular or is this just your own experience?

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Friday, 15 November 2002 01:07 (twenty-three years ago)

I have seen Anthony's approach used, and it's success rate is surprisingly high.

James Blount (James Blount), Friday, 15 November 2002 06:40 (twenty-three years ago)

it's directed at everyone. I'm sorry, but it's only successful with relation to time. If you can ask 100 people if you can fuck them in one night, I'm sure one of them might say yes... it's just a matter of being in the mood to be smacked in the face 99 times.

Haha, I know for sure it wouldn't work for me, Alex, if that's what you were hoping I'd say.

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 15 November 2002 06:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Hahaha I wasn't hoping you'd say anything! I was trying to figure out if I should be insulted!

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Friday, 15 November 2002 07:20 (twenty-three years ago)

ally, will you fuck me?

Queen G (Queeng), Friday, 15 November 2002 14:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 16 November 2002 18:02 (twenty-three years ago)

five years pass...

Have any straight boys here been propositioned by gay, or bi, men? Never happened to me, although a couple times i got the "vibe" before casually mentioning my girlfriend. Were you flattered or creeped out?

velko, Tuesday, 12 August 2008 02:44 (seventeen years ago)

im usually a mix between flattered and a little disturbed by the insight into what the world must be like for women...

ryan, Tuesday, 12 August 2008 02:47 (seventeen years ago)

yes. Didn't bother me one iota.

...although one of the gentlemen did become very shady/creepy over time.

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Tuesday, 12 August 2008 02:47 (seventeen years ago)

Eric H., Tuesday, 12 August 2008 02:50 (seventeen years ago)

Flattered, not creeped out at all, mostly just amused (it was done with humor, though I'm sure the offer wasn't purely in jest).

Charlie Rose Nylund, Tuesday, 12 August 2008 05:47 (seventeen years ago)

the best time this ever happened to me it was a friend's roommate who made up the couch for me to crash on after a party at their house cause it was late and i was pretty drunk. i gave him friendly a hug and said "thanks" for getting blankets and pillows and all that and then he only halfway let go of the hug, looked into my eyes and said "you know, i can give you a 'job if you want..."

i dont know if 'job is common slang but i thought it was funny. i think i said "that's really very kind of you but i think i'm only cut out for a good night sleep at this point in the evening."

gr8080, Tuesday, 12 August 2008 05:56 (seventeen years ago)

are you sure that he didn't just think you were drunk and homeless and was offering you employment?

mh, Tuesday, 12 August 2008 14:25 (seventeen years ago)
