FACE TATTOOS

Utterly confusing (I'm a big fan of 'no tattoos you can't cover up in front of a judge') but whatever it's your face.

Not horrifying/repellent so much as a glaring advertisement of your terrible judgment. That said, I voted 'it's your face', bcz bad judgment isn't contagious, so what's it to me if you walk around looking like a fool the rest of your life?

Add: "terrible judgment" doesn't apply in cases where your cultural tradition requires face tattoos, as in parts of New Guinea.

i have no tattoos, but i like the idea of face tattoos insofar as they're a move away from the fad of the last 30ishd years of tattoos as wacky fun lifestyle accessory and back towards their earlier status as a marker of someone as being antisocial, potentially scary and generally unfit for polite society. fewer tattoos of breakdancing chewbacca or emo lyrics or whatever and more bizarre & vaguely upsetting face tattoos.

What Aimless said - if cultural eg Maori, awesome but otherwise... I mean, it depends, but it seems most ppl who do this have some pretty fucked up judgement as to what looks good, your face as a skull or with swastikas on it is not a good sign.
