Yes, it's fine, who knows where else that book has been already and it's not like people lick their library books 29
No, that's disgusting, you should be ashamed of yourself for even raising it as a question 12

I lick my library books

When I was younger, I would bring any book or magazine into the bathroom or the tub with me. Nowadays, I really only have a special selection of books that I don't care about too much that I'll take in there.

Is it bad for a baby to see you reading a library book in the bathroom

Gardyloominati (Neanderthal), Monday, 4 October 2021 15:41 (three years ago)

fecal matter should be the least of your concerns w/r/t library books

I'm just gonna assume everyone who votes "no" also spends their free time pooping directly into library books

Acceptable in my bathroom at home, not acceptable in a public bathroom. In a bathroom of the library itself, it's a coinflip.

middle class fear of contact with urine and fecal matter, no matter if it only exists in homeopathic quantities and at several removes, is a marvel to behold.

fun fact, Phil Collins's "You Will Be in My Heart" is about the accidental consumption of fecal matter and how it can lead to health complications

If you put the book down before wiping, wash your hands, then pick it up again, then it’s no problem surely? If you wanted to be careful you could wipe the plastic cover with a Milton wipe or something, I suppose. I have a kid so I assume everything is covered in shit anyway

Chuck_Tatum, Sunday, 10 October 2021 08:05 (three years ago)

of course it’s fine
