OK beloved sistrah becky explodes into venomous loathing whenever the bobbed ginger goddess of AOL appears on the TV: and now i discover so does generally phlegmatic ptee

why is she so awful, or is she, or what is up here?

I like getting AOL discs, I use them to draw perfect circles.

I just find Connie's look and manner a bit dated, like some 80's blue peter presenter. You remember Peter D*ncan (google proof), well some kid designed that awful green and white suit, that he wore like all the time. Well, they did the same for Connie's information dress. "Come on kids, design a dress for Connie, send your entries on and A4 piece of paper".

I'm sure she's okay IRL.

I loved the Adam & Joe sketch where they parodied those Connie adverts. "What do you want to find on AOL today?" "Well, Connie, I've always had a bit of a thing about crackwhores..."

As for reasons why Connie is so hated, it's half and half down to the condecending attitude of said adverts and the nefarious things she stands for. I'm sure I remember from somewhere that AOL were resonsible for funding some sort of Christian summer camp in the US that taught teenagers who were thought to be gay to "be straight"?

I saw her on telly once without her magic dress, scavenging for men. She was on some documentary about models. She is a scout, and hangs about in clubs givng cards to high, handsome bastards.
