Rum and raisin because I loved rum and raisin ice cream as a kid.

RITTER SPORT POLL🕸

I addressed that in the poll question, ty for reminding me a poll exists that nobody can vote in in 2021, so useful

i've heard they can be expensive

from plax i mean

always cornflake for me

i think they're pretty reasonably priced

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 23 November 2021 20:59 (two years ago) link

See, cornflake intrigued me so much before I tried one, but the flakes aren’t big or crunchy enough.

I voted coconut narrowly over whole hazelnut, despite my suspicion that the coconut ones are just jumped-up bounties. They’re great if you leave them in the fridge.

suggest bainne (gyac), Tuesday, 23 November 2021 21:02 (two years ago) link

Yoghurt, honey and hazelnuts sounds very good to me

Cornflake.

Guy at the cornershop noticed I liked it so much he said he'd keep one for me in case they run out.

xyzzzz__, Tuesday, 23 November 2021 21:16 (two years ago) link

Fuck I've not had choco crisp. Intrigued by yoghurt.

Ritter's Sport Schokolade was launched in 1932 after Clara suggested creating a chocolate bar that would fit into any sport jacket pocket without breaking but weighed the same as a normal bar.

give me five bees for a ritter sport, you'd say

mookieproof, Tuesday, 23 November 2021 21:43 (two years ago) link

Tough choice between cornflake and coconut.

Everybody Loves Ramen (WmC), Tuesday, 23 November 2021 21:45 (two years ago) link

Just one or two at a time but he noticed I got the last one in stock and started talking to me about it lol.

i got a sampler a few months ago and tried a few new flavors. yogurt blew me away.

White whole hazelnut is my shit. My local corner shop regularly has these on like 2 for £3 and they are the superior chocolate option. I usually go for the above if they have it and then mix it up with my other choice, but I think the Honey salted almonds is #2. So fucking decadent.

i reflexively voted whole hazelnut, milk chocolate, but now i’m reading all this about coconut and yogurt and honey salted almond and wondering what have i done with my life? why haven’t i had all the ritter sports?

cookie hat, esq. (cat), Tuesday, 23 November 2021 23:08 (two years ago) link

There is no wrong answer, but the right answer is Rum & Raisin and it isn't even close.

Andrew Farrell, Tuesday, 23 November 2021 23:49 (two years ago) link

The yoghurt, the texture just does it for me

I can only get mint and two nut ones at my shop.
I think last time we did a thread on Rittah Schpoart I was investigating how I could increase my supply, but then I must've closed the tab and forgotten forever.

Voted Praline, even though I would like it to be darker and less sweet, because being able to buy a whole bar of gianduja truffle is amazing.

target carries the whole hazelnut-dark and the marzipan, both great but the hazelnut has the edge

cornflake? the fuck?

goole, Wednesday, 24 November 2021 03:37 (two years ago) link

i tried a cornflake one, once. it was fine. rather light on the cornflakes. found myself longing for some whole hazelnuts to fiercen up the crunch factor.

shoot, i have a jar of hazelnuts in the kitchen! wonder if there are any cornflakes around.

your irritability at discovering that someone does not necessarily duplicate your taste in chocolate bars is charming

i'm such a dork. i just went to my fridge and found out my dark chocolate ritter sport has almonds, not hazelnuts. i've had the hazelnut one before. i'm kind of torn.

anyways, i voted dark whole hazelnut

fyi, too expensive for the normal ones BUT look at the seasonal ones.

suggest bainne (gyac), Wednesday, 24 November 2021 08:28 (two years ago) link

excellent poll. obviously honey salted almonds my habit got so bad i bought other things from the corner shop just to pretend i wasn’t going in to buy three of these at once. sometimes i went to other shops to avoid my problem being seen.

can’t be the only one, noticed the other day that some fiend had *hidden* the honey salted almonds behind the frankly dull cornflake version.

Fizzles, Wednesday, 24 November 2021 08:51 (two years ago) link

the milk chocolate hazelnut is an adequate replacement at a pinch.

Fizzles, Wednesday, 24 November 2021 08:51 (two years ago) link

How do the cashew rank?

suggest bainne (gyac), Wednesday, 24 November 2021 09:09 (two years ago) link

Milk chocolate hazelnut is 1st for me just if we go by habit. Cornflake actually wasn't about in the cornershop for much of the year.

Can see cashew becoming a favourite but it's only been stocked there recently xp

Nary a mention of butter biscuit so far itt

Jimmy Iovine Eat World (bernard snowy), Wednesday, 24 November 2021 14:08 (two years ago) link

I think honey salted almond might be the one for me though I've more often had the whole hazelnut one.

My local lidl has some of the seasonal ones for £1, can confirm 'alpine milk' is pretty decent

salsa shark, Wednesday, 24 November 2021 23:28 (two years ago) link

salsa shark, Wednesday, 24 November 2021 23:28 (two years ago) link

I want milk + hazelnut dammit

I would just like to say that the “spiced biscuit” Christmas one is incredible. Lidl and Wilko both sell them for £1!

cornflake? the fuck?

It seems to be a German thing--my favorite DC specialty store stocks other chocolate-cornflake candy at Christmas time. Do non-USA countries go in for puffed rice in chocolate?

I don't think I've ever had a Ritter, but dark chocolate whole hazelnut for me, on principle.

never thought abt putting the filled ones like coconut into the fridge, very good hack
