I have a terrible fear of...

I used to fear driving, but you get used to it. I had to go through this fear twice, first time when I was learning the whole thing, then several years later when I learned to drive a manual. But yeah, it gets better with age.

I fear toasters! When the thing in there is done, I have to be far away immersed in a newspaper, otherwise the POP scares me to tears.

driving is fine, i like it, even in city traffic but i cant hang washing on the clothesline i have at this place. it is at the end of a very long driveway and i feel so exposed, like a rabbit sitting in the glare of headlights. irrational yes, very real, o shit yeah! i either use a small clothes rack on my patio or the dryer, rather than brave the outside line.

I got my license Friday and I haven't been out alone in the car yet. I'm afraid I'll forget something really simple, or get distracted by something, and get into a huge accident. I consider than an extremely reasonable fear though, I'd have to be pretty stupid not to have it.
