There was a piece on Patrick White (one of my absolute favourite writers) in the Guardian on Saturday, by Thomas Keneally. It was a bit rub and nothing much to do with your theme, I'm afraid. Carey may be the key starting place, I'd have thought. What do I know though? My degree is in computers!
