C J (C J), Monday, 18 November 2002 09:18 (twenty-three years ago)

my friend's sister is Goldie's PA and he's definatewly in

Barnaby (Barnaby), Monday, 18 November 2002 09:39 (twenty-three years ago)

i also understand capwice to be amongst the inmates, as well as lovely ickle mark owen.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Monday, 18 November 2002 09:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Isn't lovely ickle Stephen Gateley in there as well?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 18 November 2002 13:03 (twenty-three years ago)

Popbitch sez:
"Stephen Gately is going to be on Celebrity Big
Brother. He looks set to be joined by Goldie, Les
Dennis, Mel B, Esther Rantzen and Denise Welch."

Graham (graham), Monday, 18 November 2002 13:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Caprice is out cos she is doing some acting thing. Goldie is deffo in. Les Dennis would not surprise me, plus a soapstar and a down at heal popstar.

So Popbitch seem OTM. Maybe Mark Goodier now he has left the chart (who is taking over btw?)

Pete (Pete), Monday, 18 November 2002 13:24 (twenty-three years ago)

They named names on Thisislondon last week incl. Mark Owen ex teen idol in the Keith Duffy role.

Emma, Monday, 18 November 2002 14:26 (twenty-three years ago)

http://www.thisislondon.com/news/showbiz/articles/2049639?source=Evening%20Standard

and it's Mel (not Sue). Has anybody else seen Mel's "Tell it to me straight" daytime thing (actually does 9am count as daytime).

Alan (Alan), Monday, 18 November 2002 14:48 (twenty-three years ago)

I was really hoping they'd put someone from "Changing Rooms" in there.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 18 November 2002 14:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Denise Welch is out because her ickle baby son is poorly sick

Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen would be good, as he could turn the house all Gothic for a larf.

C J (C J), Monday, 18 November 2002 15:04 (twenty-three years ago)

(I SAID Mel! Some people do not pay attention pah)

Emma, Monday, 18 November 2002 15:44 (twenty-three years ago)

B-but Caprice isn't on it:
http://www.ananova.com/entertainment/story/sm_711031.html?menu=entertainment.bigbrother

Pete (Pete), Monday, 18 November 2002 15:58 (twenty-three years ago)

What about Trevah from Enders? He's got nowt else to do now.

Plinky (Plinky), Monday, 18 November 2002 16:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Pete has been googling the phrase "share a lesbian kiss"

Anyway, what are those birds in the ad for Chicago getting up to?

Alan (Alan), Monday, 18 November 2002 16:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Needs more Mels!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 18 November 2002 19:50 (twenty-three years ago)

personally i would like to have:

1. Ron Jeremy
2. Linda Lovelace
3. Ally from NYC
4. Philip K Dick
5. Elvis/Jesus Christ
6. Courtney Love
7. Arthur Lee
8. Margo Kidder/Christopher Reeve/Richard Pryor
9. The Cast and Crew of 'Don't Go In The Woods'
10. Wynona Ryder.

That would be great television!!!!

doom-e, Monday, 18 November 2002 19:55 (twenty-three years ago)

If anyone has a good sized house going spare for a while, we should totally do an ILX Big Brother. Doom-e and Momus and Mark S can be the first three contestants.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 18 November 2002 21:18 (twenty-three years ago)

Dave Q MUST be included.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 18 November 2002 21:24 (twenty-three years ago)

And Ally and Toraneko, and indeed you, Dan. And it would hardly be an ILX event without Ned and Tom.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 18 November 2002 21:38 (twenty-three years ago)

Dan and momus (and a copy of vice magazine of course).

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Monday, 18 November 2002 21:43 (twenty-three years ago)

Mark S and Doom-e have been outside for three hours.

FUCK THAT FUCKING MOMUS ALWAYS FUCKING SING NO ONE, NOOOOO OOOOOOONNNNEEEE WANTS TO HEAR!!!

Momus: Guys, I made some baked beans.

Doom-e: Great I'll be right in.

Momus: I wrote a new song.

Doom-e: Great.

doom-e, Monday, 18 November 2002 21:50 (twenty-three years ago)

two years pass...
This year's list 'apparently':

Bez
Mark Bosnich
Caprice
Craig Charles
Sam Fox
Eddie Irvine
Myleene Klass
Brigette Nielsen

No Pete Doherty!

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Wednesday, 5 January 2005 20:06 (twenty-one years ago)

WHERE IS FLAVOR FLAV??????

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 5 January 2005 20:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, that was almost completely wrong, then.

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Thursday, 6 January 2005 21:55 (twenty-one years ago)

so what was the final 8? I saw up to Bez and switched off in embarrassment.

Ste (Fuzzy), Thursday, 6 January 2005 22:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Racing pundit John McCricick was first in, followed by feminist writer Germaine Greer.

They were joined by Brigitte Nielsen, ex-Holby City star Jeremy Edwards, model Caprice, former Happy Mondays man Bez, Blazin’ Squad star Kenzie and DJ Lisa L’Anson.

The first eviction on the Channel 4 show will be next Friday.

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Thursday, 6 January 2005 22:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Germaine!

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 6 January 2005 22:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Well that's my English literature degree worthless.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 6 January 2005 22:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahaha, did you see Shaun Ryder? What a fat little man with a horrible tan!

Charles Dexter (Holey), Thursday, 6 January 2005 22:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Jeremy Edwards is Rachel Stevens' ex, and I never realised he was so fit!

http://members.lycos.co.uk/jamiethehut/actors/jeremy_edwards3.JPG

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 6 January 2005 22:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Germaine: "We could solve the problems of the world"
Bez: "That's boooorin' tha'"

Masked Gazza, Friday, 7 January 2005 01:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Fucking BEZ?!?!

Can someone tape this for me?

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 7 January 2005 01:33 (twenty-one years ago)

This is seriously brilliant

Masked Gazza, Friday, 7 January 2005 01:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I see some fucking great clashes tween John Queerick and Germaine coming up

Masked Gazza, Friday, 7 January 2005 01:36 (twenty-one years ago)

John is Talksport made flesh

Masked Gazza, Friday, 7 January 2005 01:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Germaine teaching young Kenzie about MC5 and Iggy and the Stooges
Bez hasn't heard of MC5??

Masked Gazza, Friday, 7 January 2005 02:18 (twenty-one years ago)

young Kenzie enters house

Bez : "Who's this twat?"

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 7 January 2005 09:03 (twenty-one years ago)

We turned on, saw Brigitte Nielsen's tatas, and ran away in phear.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Friday, 7 January 2005 09:12 (twenty-one years ago)

this is gonna kick ass. nielsen is a bit of a sore thumb though -- who the fuck is she? still, germaine greer is a bit of a coup.

henry miller, Friday, 7 January 2005 09:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Nielsen is now a professional incarceration reality TV queen - she's in The Surreal Life with Jordan out of New Kids On The Block as well.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Friday, 7 January 2005 09:20 (twenty-one years ago)

wish i'd stayed up -- i can't imagine gg talking about mc5 to one of blazin squad. too deck for words.

henry miller, Friday, 7 January 2005 09:24 (twenty-one years ago)

It's funny that Caprice was mentioned back in Nov 2002 as a possible entry - either the ILX campaign (?) was a success, or she's finally worn the producers down...

I want Germaine Greer and Bez to have many a deep & meaningful, late into the night.

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Friday, 7 January 2005 09:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Nielsen was also in Big Brother VIP, the german Celebrity Big Brother. And her appearance as Annie Lennox on Stars In Their Eyes will haunt me forever.

Also! (may spoil ending to The Surreal Life)

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 7 January 2005 09:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Caught Gree and McCrirrick late into the night getting ready to batter each other.

Lest we forget, Greer's first TV gig was 1968 Nice Time as dolly bird fluff to Kenny Everett.

Pete (Pete), Friday, 7 January 2005 11:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow this is actually the bomb. I love Germaine ever so much - she described John's strategy as 'serpentine' to Lisa, who just boggled at her, and she psycho-analysed everyone to perfection in the diary room. And she is LOVING having the opportunity to perv on Jeremy, who is simply yummy.

The Lex (The Lex), Saturday, 8 January 2005 23:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Bez: "Alright, have you ever said to your wife "I love you very very much"?
John "....!"

mark grout (mark grout), Sunday, 9 January 2005 17:59 (twenty-one years ago)

I have not been watching it, due to my new regime of NO TELLY. Who has been chucked out? What's happening? Be my Heat magazine, won't you?

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Sunday, 9 January 2005 18:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Germaine had better win, as William Hill were offering 10/1 on her at one point yesterday, which I snapped up like the proverbial whippet.

She's back to 6 in most places though, Kenzi and Jeremy exchanging 2/1s on most accounts with Bez in the village of 4.

Lisa I'Anson is 40/1.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 9 January 2005 22:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I have no thoughts or insights on this show apart from OMG JEREMY YOU ARE SO HOTT!!!!111

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 9 January 2005 23:41 (twenty-one years ago)

kenzie claiming to have said he wanted to do this 'for charidee' and being told he had actually said 'in order to pull a glamour model' was priceless.

henry miller, Monday, 10 January 2005 09:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Hopefully Dermot will bamboozle her with his charm on CBBLB tonight.

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 14 January 2005 23:39 (twenty-one years ago)

She really hasn't got a fucking clue, has she. "Big Daddy, or whatever he's called, what is it?"

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 14 January 2005 23:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not even entirely convinced she even knows she's on a show related at all to Big Brother.

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 14 January 2005 23:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyhow. Now it's John versus Bez. This should be a tap-in, but Bez is taking the nom very badly indeed.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 17 January 2005 09:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Noooooo. Bez is the most genuine person in there.

Anna (Anna), Monday, 17 January 2005 13:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Bez: "I don't think anyone's got a game plan in 'ere"
John:"Don't you believe it... They are all not to be trusted!"

Result: One paranoid Bez.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 17 January 2005 13:31 (twenty-one years ago)

My poor baby!

(I think I may be investing too much emotion in this, but not enough to actually vote obv.)

Anna (Anna), Monday, 17 January 2005 13:34 (twenty-one years ago)

huh! as if "genuine" had anything to do with big brother!

unfortunately bb winners tend not to win because they're "genuine" but because they're "fit." so if john mcnazi wins it'll be a very curious concept of "fit" which visually would seem to indicate that a liver cyst is somehow attractive (i've seen x-rays of liver cysts and they do look a bit like the idiosyncratic racing pundit).

Marcello Carlin, Monday, 17 January 2005 13:34 (twenty-one years ago)

This is true Marcello, possibly because those bothered by people being "genuine" are not going to call in.

Anna (Anna), Monday, 17 January 2005 13:36 (twenty-one years ago)

thus it will end up being between jeremy hollyoaks and Kenzie Out Of Blazin Squad

Marcello Carlin, Monday, 17 January 2005 13:39 (twenty-one years ago)

unfortunately bb winners tend not to win because they're "genuine" but because they're "fit."

er, are you sure, marcello? not that i'm saying jade, nadia et al are "genuine" - but fit??

stevie (stevie), Monday, 17 January 2005 13:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I just punted a tenner on Lisa L'Anson, at 40 to 1. Don't laugh it could happen.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 17 January 2005 13:40 (twenty-one years ago)

bez was fascinating last night - he really is very damaged, isn't he? and john's tantrum at the ghost train task - ew. very uncomfortable viewing.

stevie (stevie), Monday, 17 January 2005 13:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Tantrum? He was fretting about not letting the team down, the cart broke while he used it, there was a long gap until the BB team aquiesced the point, he seemed legitimately worried. For once.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 17 January 2005 13:51 (twenty-one years ago)

bez's nomination seemed a bit odd to me (with more votes than john even - i guess john couldn't vote for himself!) - id've said nobody actively disliked him. he did melt down the other night though, started going on about skipping over the wall to go dancing in watford. so i guess some of these may have been 'he wants to go anyway' nominations.

(they never seem to realise that the alarm will go off at given time every morning regardless of the time they decide to turn in. that said, them all getting an early night would make the live 12-2 feed really dull, which BB doesn't seem to have realised.)

no mention of the house invasion in the actual program that i've seen...

koogs (koogs), Monday, 17 January 2005 13:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I can imagine that 24hr Bez would be kind of irritating. Edited highlights are easier to deal with.

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 17 January 2005 15:23 (twenty-one years ago)

deal with = love

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 17 January 2005 15:23 (twenty-one years ago)

er, are you sure, marcello? not that i'm saying jade, nadia et al are "genuine" - but fit??

jade didn't win though, blonde girl whose name I genuinely can't recall won that series. Apart from Nadia (who definitely won for being 'genuine' rather than being 'fit') I can't remember any other winners so I can't comment further on the series...

the Jackie Stallone otm moment in the Davina interview was glorious. If Davina was in the house, she'd totally outdo Lisa in Lisa-ness.

The Lex (The Lex), Monday, 17 January 2005 17:11 (twenty-one years ago)

24 hour party Bez.

Masked Gazza, Monday, 17 January 2005 17:19 (twenty-one years ago)

> blonde girl whose name I genuinely can't recall won that series

kate whatsherface. had a twin sister. did RI:SE... lawler.

celebrity winners = jack dee and mark owen. bez, to me, is a cross between the two = obvious winner 8)

koogs (koogs), Monday, 17 January 2005 17:40 (twenty-one years ago)

But if Bez was up against Kenzie? Can you say "Save Bez" would conquer?

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 17 January 2005 17:43 (twenty-one years ago)

wasnt there a trend for the borng person to win BB? thats why i think lisa will win, cos everyones forgotten shes in the house. kenzie will be second.

my girlfriend told me that greer tried to have an in depth discussion with kenzie about the youth slang and linguistics, can anynoe corroborate this?

ambrose (ambrose), Monday, 17 January 2005 18:49 (twenty-one years ago)

looks like you're right about the borng person. john mcnazi got evicted last night, much to his satisfaction, so it is the standard trend of systematically getting rid of anyone remotely interesting or showing the slightest trace of individuality.

Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 08:18 (twenty-one years ago)

So now it's "Vote for the winner" time, and the one with the least votes will be out Wednesday.

Which will be one of : Caprice, Brigitte, Jeremy.

(Jeremy has turned into one of those "Hey I'm gorgeous and have a great sense of humour" types)

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 09:42 (twenty-one years ago)

oh come on, marcello - john was interesting only as a portrayal of an inflated and pompous ego forever on the edge of a meltdown. the truth is, he was more irritating and pathetic than the others.

stevie (stevie), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 09:57 (twenty-one years ago)

that's exactly why he was interesting! and also why greer should have stayed in. better to be irritating and pathetic than be a blank nonentity like jeremy hollyoaks or Kenzie Out Of Blazin Squad, i'd say.

Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 11:09 (twenty-one years ago)

So, it's down to Bez and Lisa in the 'keeping it real' stakes?

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 11:14 (twenty-one years ago)

god, lisa i'anson (better not juxtapose these two, it'll give her even grander ideas). she reminds me of the clock at the front of wandsworth town hall. that hasn't worked since 1995 either.

Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 11:17 (twenty-one years ago)

the whole 'people in the house pick the shortlist, viewers pick the evictee' thing is what makes it interesting and unpredictable. but i think the viewers only wised up to the 'vote the interesting people out and end up with boring tv' halfway through the Jon Tickle Years. (that said, 'interesting' comes in many flavours and sometimes other factors are more important.)

i think John was voted out because people so like Bez, who is interesting enough - i was roffling yesterday when the others were doing the hippy dippy stuff in the hidden room and Bez was trying to mime something (what?) for the camera.

slight Ahmed-esque rehabilitation for John on CBBLB last night, only slight though.

koogs (koogs), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 14:26 (twenty-one years ago)

What Bez was trying to say was :

"You"

"W"

"Freaky Dancing"

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

do u think this "who stays? you decide" rather than "who goes.." will have an infulence in the outcome of this or future series of BB?

jed_ (jed), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 15:22 (twenty-one years ago)

If Davina was in the house, she'd totally outdo Lisa in Lisa-ness.

You don't know how grateful I am for that. Of course, I have a vested interest here.

Captain GRRRios' Giggletits (Barima), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 20:16 (twenty-one years ago)

bez is awesome tho. it was cute wen BB told him to get down from teh wall and he meekly complied

also, totally melancholic

ambrose (ambrose), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 01:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Brigitte: "Bezsh, mate, mate, cmere. cmere. Look, yr a luvly chap. luvly chap. nahnahnahnah ere me owt lissenlisses. Nah look, mate just ..nah angon... Look, sort yer teeth out mate. Nah you should you should youu shouldd.... serious. You've got luvly eyes, yeah? Just with yer teeth and stop taking so much stuff yeah, listen I know what I;m talking about yeah? Lovely wife, kids, all that, all yours. you know?"

Bez: "No, you're all right..."

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 08:59 (twenty-one years ago)

bez doesn't seem to mind dressing up when he gets to be a soldier i notice... 8)

3% of people voted for lisa to win. ha-ha.

oh, and the one sentence i NEVER expecteed to hear:
"Kenzie and Bez are playing chess in the garden"

koogs (koogs), Thursday, 20 January 2005 13:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Just thought you'd like to know.

Last night, BB asked the housemates what would they like for Breakfast in bed. So they all asked for beans, sausage, porridge, whatever...

And this morning, they got it. From hidden panels above, dropped on them in their beds. Bez escaped the deluge, but Brigitte's teddy bear will never be the same again...

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 21 January 2005 11:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Kenzie was brilliant on last night's show:

"I can't believe someone's said they've got the worst costume when I was in the room. Look at me. I'm dressed as an egg. Worse than that, as a fucking big egg."

Bez winning at chess ran it close, mind.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Friday, 21 January 2005 12:05 (twenty-one years ago)

"I can't believe someone's said they've got the worst costume when I was in the room."

Line of the Series!

OK, now its Bez, Brigitte and Kenzie, all together all weekend.

mark grout (mark grout), Saturday, 22 January 2005 11:33 (twenty-one years ago)

did anyone get evicted last night?

Ste (Fuzzy), Saturday, 22 January 2005 11:59 (twenty-one years ago)

jeremy and caprice

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Saturday, 22 January 2005 12:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Bez wins!

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Sunday, 23 January 2005 21:33 (twenty-one years ago)

YES! it's Bez!

The Horse of Babylon (the pirate king), Sunday, 23 January 2005 21:37 (twenty-one years ago)

madchester will rise again

Masked Gazza, Sunday, 23 January 2005 21:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought the prize money went to charity, or does Bez count as a charity?

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Sunday, 23 January 2005 21:52 (twenty-one years ago)

BREAKING NEWS: Bez to spend £50,000 prize money on "pimpin' up my ride. man".

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Sunday, 23 January 2005 21:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Hail Bez.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 24 January 2005 09:03 (twenty-one years ago)

caprice's alleged appearance fee was nearly 4 times what bez won. didn't a wise man once say: "You pretty girls have it easy"?

lost sympathy for bez when he started saying he was going to spend part of his winnings on chrome spinners for his wheels. his being poor seems to equal not having enough bits on his car.

koogs (koogs), Monday, 24 January 2005 09:26 (twenty-one years ago)

umm, flippant answer shocker?

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 24 January 2005 09:35 (twenty-one years ago)

.. I mean, he did more or less say he was going to dig himself out of a great financial hole, yeah?

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 24 January 2005 09:35 (twenty-one years ago)

he was already talking about buying spinners when he won the 10k for his Vietnamese Dong (fnarr!). i guess his appearance fee could've been large enough to bail him out financially so any winnings on top of that were disposable income but, yknow, poncy car parts are low on my list of essentials or luxuaries.

koogs (koogs), Monday, 24 January 2005 09:47 (twenty-one years ago)
