i like the idea of fraternity, my academic career is going nowhere, my sex drive is reaching nill, i had vauge plans to earn a living by freelance, but that doesnt seem to be happening. so should i be a monk ?

About the monk thing - you should be a monk if that's what would make you happy. I'm envious of people who really want to be monks. It must be a good way of avoiding trouble. Also, I am envious of people who are happy to work in a bank. Imagine that - all problems solved! I'd love to wake up born again as a potential personal banker. I'd love to be hit on the head with a hammer.
