I wish I could change the thread title to First Crops of Summer. I think anything would be fine as long as you are as enthusiastic about it as farmers might be. I think the exact date or time for the start of summer could be determined by UTC or whatever is used for timestamps if acceptable to the majority of posters, but no one would mind if you posted before or after that datetime. I am enthusiastic about waxy/glutinous corn but am not sure it is grown in summer. I always thought raspberries or blueberries were earlier ...
